It's frustrating how they're releasing these at such a trickle. It really saps the excitement out of the Wii U VC when more than half the time they're re-releasing stuff that already came out for the Wii VC. Not that I don't want those to be available, but yeah... why not one previously released game and one new game every week? That'd be lovely.

Earthbound was the only truly exciting release to me, and that's after the system's been out for 8 or 9 months.

Another thing: we won't see Commodore64 or even DKC trilogy on Wii U, for that i say "download first in Wii or Wii mode because you'll never be sure if that game we'll never get Wii U, if it game comes be happy so you can update, if not you will lose it forever."

Along with that, we're probably not going to see Turbografx-16 games, Neo Geo games, MSX games, Arcade games, Konami games (Konami's not supporting the Wii U at all at the moment), Interplay games, LucasArts games, Irem games, and alot more even come to the Wii U VC at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all VC republished by nintendo (and not by original third parties)? They own the rights, sure, but going live on the VC is not up to them.
I can't see why konami wouldn't like some easy money with super castlevania on the Wii U VC. I think it's just nintendo holding off, and I can see why. If they release 10 games a month, most people kind of interested in VC will probably buy 1 or 2. If they release 30 games, they will not buy 6 games... and will probably never buy the other 4 games that they would have bought if they were released later on. Why? Wallets, and free time.

And in a way, that's a thing I like with nintendo: I can keep up. I don't have a huge amount of time to play games nowadays, and honestly, even at this rate there are already Wii U VC games that I want but haven't had time to play.

Meh. I already have all the NES/SNES titles I want from the Wii VC. Off-TV play isn't enough of an incentive for me to replace my library at 8 bucks a pop. I'd much rather that Gamecube and GBA games start rolling out.

And a good selection of indies. Trine 2 is fun and all, but it looks awfully lonely on my home menu.

It is only $1 to upgrade your NES titles and $1.50 for SNES

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Well, damn. Maybe I'll consider doing it then when the selection is a little better. Would be annoying for the time being to have some of my library on Wii menu and some on Wii U.

Yea that is what I have now but at least I only need 1 system hooked up to play my games still, unlike Xbox 360 and PSN titles where to play your old download library you will have to keep your old system connected.

why are people saying they want gba and gamecube on the VC it will not happen.one piece of proof is that there remaking WW which might mean they will remake more gamecube games so why bring it to the VC. same goes with the 3ds(btw i don't think 3ds can handle n64 games unless they remake them). i do hope im wrong but i think its true.(but hopefuly n64 games will come to the wii u soon) you can now ask ? or tell me how im wrong.

I may be missing something from your post, but why do you feel that GBA games will not be on the 3DS VC? Remaking GBA-era games for 3DS would pretty much require scrapping everything and rebuilding from the ground up like they did with Final Fantasy III/IV for DS. There's a ton of quality GBA games that don't need a remake. They just need to be more accessible in this generation.

And I don't think Wind Waker will be the model for all Gamecube game ports. If Nintendo charges about $12-15 for Gamecube ports on Wii U VC, it would be much easier, faster, and more profitable for them than dedicating money and staff to making HD ports. I believe Wind Waker was done mostly so that they had experience in developing Zelda for an HD console.

As for N64 games on 3DS VC, I don't know enough about the software to know if the architecture of the 3DS is compatible. I do know that Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time were ported specifically to demonstrate that the 3DS was a viable platform for that generation of games though.
