Sure I want them both to, but we have GBA and DS games instead. So its not like there is a lack of games on the Wii U VC, just not those from Genesis and the NeoGeo. If someone were to count them up, we probably have more games on Wii U VC overall than on Wii.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
VC is never required but always appreciated. I'd like them to bring both Neo Geo and Genesis to the WiiU because that means less boxes I have to keep hooked up. But I've enjoyed my wiiu and not having additional VC is not going to ruin the system for me.

The Wii U lists haven't been updated since early September, but unless we've gotten over 150 VC games in only 6 weeks, then no, sorry. Wii still won by a landslide, and a lot of that is because of the consoles that are currently missing, or at least only barely supported (TG-16).
Given that we only have 3 Turbografx games in more than 2 months, the chances of getting more platforms for VC are slim.
The Wii U VC never got the same attention as the original Wii's.
Speaking of Mega Drive and Neo Geo titles, the new Wii U eShop title Noitu Love Devolution reminds me exactly of those.
But yeah, Mega Drive and Neo Geo should have been continued from the Wii Shop just like every other system.
The Wii U VC never got the same attention because you had to buy everything again AND the transfer is bad AND the selection is worse AND people learnt from having just 300 games per console, so they're more picky with their choices now AND smaller userbase.
@SKTTR In general terms, the Wii U never had the same attention as the original Wii. The above sentence explains all complaints about Wii U.
I agree with pretty much everything you said.

Not really comparable, it's not one over the other. Mega Drive games would have been nice, but I guess SEGA wasn't interested in putting them on the Wii U.
The original Wii had a lot more junk games than the Wii U. Almost all of the DS and GBA games on Wii U have been quality or at worst average titles.
I'd agree with this. Although Wii had a greater variety of titles, I prefer the Wii U's selection with its DS, GBA and digital Wii titles.
I'm not sure there'd be much to gain from Mega Drive and NeoGeo VC games at this point. Wii U is already on its way out, and Mega Drive games especially are already widely and cheaply available on a range of different platforms, including PC. Third parties would probably do better to focus on releasing titles for the NX.
I want the NX to continue using the Wii U eshop and when you transfer your Wii U account to it, you would be able to use all the games you have downloaded from day one for no additional charge. Like being able to access Wii mode from the Wii U.

i think it's necessary to a point, but i don't think many more will come to the wii u because the switch will be here sooner rather then later. so the majority of the vc games the wii u COULD get will be ported to the switch instead.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

I'll tell you what's to be gained: The 150+ games that are stuck on the aging Wii VC. Unless the Switch will import those, as well as the Wii U VC games, at least at a discount, I'll be thinking twice about supporting any "Virtual Console" platforms on their consoles from now on out.
@CanisWolfred
I agree, the lack of support for the VC on both wiiu and 3ds is absurd.
The back catelogue that I probably won't have access to in under 4 years is what hurts the most for me. I can understand having trouble getting news ones up, but I shouldn't have had to wait so long to play everything I already bought via their previous platform. I'm mad enough at Sony for it going from the PS3 to the PS4, but at least they had the architecture excuse, and they frequently have sales on older games when possible. If Nintendo wasn't in it for the long run, then they should've at least thrown us a bone so we could get whatever we needed on the Wii VC before the Wii U shop got going.
Instead, they left it to die, and even pulled games without any advanced notice. It's infuriating, especially when you consider the lack of account system to act as backup in case something happens and the console no longer works.
They still have a long way to go in terms of their digital policies, and quite frankly, I'm pretty fed up with it by now. They should've put that issue to bed 4 years ago.
