Meh. I already have Ballon Fight for my 3DS and I almost never play it. So I'll just skip it and start buying next month.
Seriously? It's 31¢ including tax, and it's a way better version... I have it on 3DS too, but it cost as much as a gumball your gonna chew for like 20 min., then throw away. Haha.
In Europe, it's 50Hz, so it's slower than the 3DS version
But it has multiplayer, which hasn't reached the 3DS version yet!
All in all it's worth 30 of anyone's respective minor currencies though
Wait, this version has the multiplayer the 3DS version didn't get? Do you play it with two wiimotes or two classic controllers? If it includes the multiplayer and counts towards club Nintendo and the deluxe digital promotion thing I'm totally gonna download this!

Yes, multiplayer is included, although it isn't as straight forward as I would like. For 30, this is a steal. I'm almost thinking of downloading all of the promotional games, even the ones I am not too interested in, just to give them a shot. Afterall, I never thought Balloon Fight looked interesting, but after I played the 3DS Ambassadore one, I loved it.
@Retro actually the 3DS Vc DOES have multiplayer, just not yet... It will after the update... But Japan has it, also Ice Climber has it and Yoshi, also I believe from Iwatas way of saying, I think this will happen in the future: one player using a GamePad/Wii Remote and another could use a 3DS... Based on his we'd like to use a 3DS as a controller
Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
Downloaded Balloon Fight last night for the price of nearly 1 play in an old arcade machine! I wasn't really all that excited at first abut this opening option but I got to admit it is pretty fun. It's got that classic rack up the points old skool vibe that takes me back to the 80's and the days of Chuck E; Cheese's, hypercolor t-shirts, and New Kids on the Block. Also, it looks dang good on my 59" plasma which is is always a worry with the old retro games. Hopefully all NES games will no longer have Wii VC _washed out _look. The game is displayed in a proper 4:3 ratio and doesn't looked stretched. A bonus is that you get 3 points for the deluxe digital promotion to help round out all those purchases ending in .99. Still waiting for a survey to pop up in my Club Nintendo account though. The restore point (not necesarily taht cool for this particular game) and Gamepad play feature is also very nice feature as well. Well done Nintendo!
I would prefer they had a big list of games to choose from, but you were limited to one per month. There are three games i would change:
Kirby's Adventure- It's a 3D Classic now. Preferable replacement- Kirby Super Star
Punch-Out- It's available as a Club Nintendo reward right now. Preferable replacement- Earthbound (like Japan is getting)
Donkey Kong- I know that probably not many people got it, but DK Original Edition was free with the download of Sticker Star and some other games. Preferable replacement- Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island
I suppose. There's not much difference anyway. I just looked up PAL video format on wikipedia, and it seems PAL offers better color hues. The only bad thing about PAL is conversion between other formats to or from, but otherwise your TV itself runs at 50hz. So if I understand correctly, 50hz to you is our 60hz(we are sacrificing some color), but our TVs run what they are supposed to.
There is a difference, look it up on youtube instead. This is what the 50Hz verson PAL areas have gotten plays like:
It's slower, there are borders on the screen and on the GamePad the display is slightly blurred because of scaling. Compared to the 3DS version I have from the 3DS Ambassador program it's night and day really.
I don't mind that much because it was 30c and it's good fun anyway. Nice to be able to play it on a screen as large as the GamePads without having to turn off the TV and it also, apparently, has multiplayer now. So all good in that regard. It would be nice if it ran at 60Hz though, would be significantly better.

This is the 60Hz version non-PAL regions got:
I have Balloon Fight on my Japanese Wii so I can play it in 60Hz, but I was intending to show my Wii U some VC lovin'. If they aren't going to address the mistakes of the past and give us a choice then I'll just hope the TG-16 gets support because I'm pretty sure that, lacking a native European release, the games are only 60Hz.
Donkey Kong- I know that probably not many people got it, but DK Original Edition was free with the download of Sticker Star and some other games. Preferable replacement- Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island
Donkey Kong was very likely chosen because it was one of the three launch games for the Famicom, as the Trial start date coincides with the console's 30th birthday.

Yikes, glad I don't have the PAL version.
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
What Would Duane Do? Rynoggery
I think all the titles we've purchased on wii should be available to us for 30 cents, because 30 cents wont hurt the wallet and these are games we've already paid for.
After rocking out with F-Zero for an hour last night, it's struck me just how brilliant this famicom sale line- up is. I absolutely can't wait for Kirbys Adventure.
