yeah its not exactly the deepest game ever but its great fun for 30p. ive played it alot more than i expected i would. up to 6 and half hours and i havent beaten the beginner class yet so still plenty to do. cant wait for more vc games perfect for playing on the gamepad.
I bought very few SNES games for the Virtual Console; I felt like I got more bang for my buck from the TG-16 catalogue or Mega-Drive and I didn't have previous experience with the franchise. For 30p, however I'll try most things.
I'm not a big racing game fan, I mostly have platformers and action games from the VC.
“A thing may be too sad to be believed or too wicked to be believed or too good to be believed; but it cannot be too absurd to be believed in this planet of frogs and elephants, of crocodiles and cuttle-fish.”

Its been on Wii Virtual Console for years, why did people pass on it all this time until now?
Because it wasn't in HD.
Anyway, I downloaded this game and started out with Practice Mode. Love it, but I will probably come back to it after I'm through with New Super Mario Bros. U.

Not trying to argue, but the VC games were basically in HD(video and sound) compared to the original cartridge versions anyway. VC is the reason why I stopped buying the original carts.

Stretching the game to fill the screen doesn't make it HD.

No, but having a better resolution and sound quality does. The stretching doesn't bother me. It was gonna get stretched from the carts anyways on an HDTV.
This is mainly preference, but I've seen people requesting widescreen whether it was stretched or not on Miiverse.

My wife and I finally bought an HDTV a couple of weeks ago, and even though it's not pixel perfect I prefer to stretch the screen. Of course it might look really bad on a TV bigger than 32", which is what I'm playing on.
@Emaan I posted on Miiverse how much I hated Death Wind II, then I played Fire Field. Oh my, that was painful... I actually had to Creat a Restore Point every successful lap, otherwise I was sure to die.
I thought Death Wind II was the worst it got too
But dear God. Fire Field was so awful. It was mostly the turns that got me, and well. All the annoying cars being their usual getting in the way <.<
