As made clear by the announcement of EarthBound, pushing for a game and giving feedback on Miiverse has the potential to accomplish things in our favor. I would never support being excessively annoying or spamming, but Miiverse is an excellent facility to make use of... much better than Twitter or Facebook. If we want something, don't just wait for it aimlessly. Speak up and grab the bull by the horns, or in this case, just let Nintendo know.
There were a lot of rumors and conspiracies as to why EarthBound wasn't released on VC before... clearly fan demand triumphed. Nintendo owns the rights to DK64, so surely demand can triumph here as well. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to show my support for a release of DK64 on the Donkey Kong Jr. Miiverse page. If you would purchase it also, join in.

I think Nintendo is just pretending that Earthbound is being released because of fans to make the fans feel important. They probably had it planned since the beginning... I wouldn't doubt DK64 comes out on Wii U VC without anyone even talking about it at all.

yeah i agree with you on the first paragraph but everyone else on the second. miiverse is excellent for getting opinions out and so far nintendo have been taking notice and actually giving us what we want and its amazing, although seems abit silly in earthbounds case that they never realised how many people wanted it before now.
i do like DK64 but its not on the top of my list, there is far better platformers on the system. it was the definition of collect-a-thon. to be honest one of the only games that i thought there was too much to collect and not a lot else, also having to constantly switch between kongs and back tracking got annoying too. good luck tho man i hope it gets released for you!
Donkey Kong 64 isn't very good. I don't think it's worth the effort.

Apparently, it's easier to beg and gripe for a game to come to VC than it is to buy the original copy.

Is it convienent to g buy a N64 and a game and a controller.... NO
That is why people want it on the VC. I don't have an N64 anymore so I would have to buy all three so that is not worth it at all.
Not to mention the majority of gamers today don't have N64s so VC is by far the best option!
