because that would make the wii experience totally better. a little more competitive, and it make you want to play more.

I would play Wii more if it had an achievements system, but I doubt we will see one even next generation. Nintendo seems to be more concerned about sales than players these days.

Sure they would, but they should copy it anyway. Sony already has.

They did say that there will always be some sort of feedback system to tell players how they are doing, so they probably will next gen.

Yup, there's no shame in adopting a great feature invented by another company, like MS and Sony are adopting motion control.

Sony did it first.

A better example would be Nintendo and Microsoft adopting the dual analog controller.

Even though Nintendo would deny it, they would be ripping off the Xbox 360. That's what happens to people when they're more than three years late.

& @Shane_Gill Really? You think Nintendo cares more about sales than Microsoft, a company that has a total of ONE game published by them on their console? Wow. Just...wow.

You like to exaggerate things, don't you?

What, motion control? Yes, but the Wii was the first system to be successful with motion control, and it was arguably much better than Sony's first attempt.

It was way better, but that doesn't change the fact that they still did it before Nintendo did.

It's either that or be a nobody, right?

Sony dropped it almost immediately though, right? I know it's not the best example, but there are huge possibilities for gaming w/ motion control as the Wii has shown, and MS and Sony are now following in its footsteps. Nintendo wasn't the first company w/ motion control, but they were the first company to have success with it.
EDIT: LOL @V8+Ninja.

Can you please show me where I said that? Wait that's right you can't, because I didn't. Microsoft needed to implement achievements to complement their community system (it being the main feature of the 360), just as Nintendo needed to implement the nun-chuck to complement the wiimote (it being the main feature of the Wii).

Try not being so ignorant, and next time you may make less of a fool of yourself.

How is "bragging about how much better you are at a video game" part of "community"? The Nun-chuck is part of the Wii's controls. Achievements are just there because it gives people who have already played the game something else to aim for, not because it's part of community. They might be part of what YOU call "community, but they're definitely NOT part of what I call "community".
