Topic: Would a Konami Rebirth style game work for something like a playstation game?

Would a Konami Rebirth style game work for something like a playstation or similar graphics. Off the top of my head a Silent Hill Rebirth comes to mind. Something about the graphics in the first Slient Hill a really like. I don't think anyone really tried to make a 3D retro game befor. Heck maybe even do something like Metal Gear Soild Rebirth could work.

They are already remaking silent hill with shattered memories. bit boy had retro 3d stuff. wiiware rebirth stuff would work best for 2d games. "retro" 3d will just make people think its outdated.
That said something similar say to the new excitebike graphics would work for say a metal gear rebirth. not sure about solid though.

Doesn't count? the best I can tell the games in the ReBirth series are retro style sequels not remakes.
