You can't save in the Wily Stages, you have to do them all in one play-through. Also, Shark Robot Thing form 1 - Mega Buster or Light Trident, form 2 - Tornado Blow, then Magma Bazooka, form 3 - Hornet Chaser! Good luck! (You'll need it for Stage 3....MWA...HA...HA!)

im kinda angry at myself for not getting megaman 9. im a megafan (megaman fan) just like supermegaman and nintengamerftw. ill probably just get both megaman games when 10 arrives on wiiware

No reason to be angry at yourself, you get to play both awesome games at the same time! I'm sure Mega Man forgives all of his devoted, crazy fans!

I never use it....it's nice for Mega Man noobies and beginners...But for the hardcore MM fans it's a no no. Although i think it's neat that you can buy the 'No Helmet Mega Man' Item.

As for MM9, I played it a few days ago....But the last time i beat it was when it first came out. It's a 10/10 easliy for me.
Dr. Wily was incredibly tough...his 3rd form comes to mind. I've beaten MM9 twice, and I wont be playing it in anticipation for MM10 because i dont want to feel Mega Man'd out ;p

On another note, which level will you guys be playing first in MM10?....I'm thinking of going with Nitro Man...but i always usually go for the aquatic or Air robot first. Tornado man was my first in MM9, and it had to of been the hardest stage out of the 9 Robot masters along with Jewel Man. but now when i play them they're a piece of cake ;p

If you want to "cheat", equip the Black Hole Bomb, and just before the center ball thingy comes out of the goo, quickly fire a black hole and wait for it damage the ball thingy. Quickly bring up the weapons menu, and go back out to "cancel" the black hole. Fire again and hopefully you can get a second and even a third hit before the ball thingy retreats to the higher up blob. Beyond that, just practice which jumps you need to make during the transition period. It's tough but you can do it!

@denzer what ive been doing is just jumping around and firing a hornet right before the eye thing comes out. Its nice because i dont have to jump, but it doesnt do much. Is it weak to anything?
Your right, now that ive somewhat memorized the pattern it got easier, but i still get hit occasionally, and its enough to kill me
And the stage isnt exactly a cakewalk...
And is there any way to suspend play? I dont really like the thought of leaving my wii on all the time until im done...

On a side note, I never used the shop except to buy the little radar thing. I almost didnt use any E tanks, but i wanted to try one out. Bad idea. Next playthrough im gonna not use the shop.

Also, don't torture yourself by not using the shop. Have fun with the game. If later on you get a lot more practice, then you can challenge yourself to not use the shop.

I have done it! Megaman 9 is beaten! With a stellar time of 10 hours!
I managed to beat that final form only with the weakness and my only E tank.
I now have 20/50 achievments, every quick draw except galaxy.
Horray!

If I do it with proto man, can I still get achievments?

Nope, anything with Proto Man, Hero or Superhero doesn't count towards anything.

And besides, playing as Proto Man means you're asking for punishment. I have yet to beat the game with Proto Man...I should get back to making that attempt sometime this month.

Practicing with Mega Man 9? Pfft, child's play. As of tonight, I've finished replaying Mega Man 1 through 9 (Mega Man and Bass also) in order to prepare for Mega Man 10. Took me last week and this week to do.

I'm quite excited. I've been saving up that 1000 points for a while now.
