the only difference I'm seeing between Shining Force and Final Fantasy is that you can have more characters on your side in Shining Force, and no random encounters.

I use the same username on TVTropes and youtube. look me up!

... and that Shining Force is a strategy RPG, where you not only fight but you position your own forces on the battlefield, taking into account unit speed, special abilities, and terrain crossed during each move... Shining Force would be better compared to FFT.

Paper Mario. Found it way more fun then Super Mario RPG due to the more involving battle system and the charm it has. But this is just an opinion, I do understand a lot of you love this game, so I hope I dont start an argument of why SMRPG I better. But then again, you people are not IGN, so I dont expect any argument. Remember, you cant spell ignorance without IGN! (just kidding)

SMRPG, hands down.
I got PSIV recently, but something about it seems primitive. Mebbe its the bland graphics, in comparison to SMRPG's lush detail.

I like both games, but I think PSIV is a way more impressive and complex game. I think some people just have a thing against Sci-Fi RPGs.
