Topic: What are the chances of a TRANSFER SOLUTION for VC being announced at E3?

They fixed the storage problem by adding SD support, why not find a solution to a dead wii and all the games we have downloaded that is easier than crying your guts out to Nintendo Tech Support until they do it for you? I've only spent like $160 odd dollars on Virtual content (which isn't much compared to some), but it still scares me that I may be just pissing away that much money on games that could disappear if my wii dies.

Anyone else have this concern? When do you think Nintendo might address our concerns?

p.s. I know this thread will be closed after 4 posts, since every thread I start is shut down due to there already being the same thread like 50 pages back...

We would have a better chance of them announcing a storage solution for DSi. Which it DEFINITELY NEEDS.

No. I don't think they will unveil anything of the sort.

The only transfer they'll ever do is transferring downloaded games from the Wii to the next console. But I can't see them allowing you to transfer between different Wii consoles.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

I'm anxious about being the 4th post, as apparently the lock will follow.

But no, the chances are slim to none.

5th post. Am I on the island??

I hope they unveil a Universal Shop which is set out alot better than the WSC.

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Locked.

No, not really. My understanding is that Nintendo will not announce anything download-based at this year's E3, so I wouldn't hold your breath on this one.

I guess we all just hope and pray that our Wiis don't break.

Nope. As far as most gaming companies are concerned, your downloads are tied to your console and your console alone.

If it breaks they will transfer all of your downloads to your new system. It's not that Nintendo doesn't want them transferred between consoles, it's that they don't want folks doing it themselves at home, as it can be far too easily abused.

I really hope that they announce something along these lines...
"You will be able to send your DSiWare games to the 3DS when you get one."
But i kinda doubt it. I have spent a lot of money on my DSiWare stuff though, so i will be holding off on the 3DS unless they say something like that.

An announcement for DSiWare to 3DS would be fairly likely, but announcing something for the Wii of that sort is really unlikely, as that would imply there's a new console in the works. I feel they'd have to announce the new console before saying something like that.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

Yeah, they better say something about this because this will be an indication on how they will do this in the future for the Wii -> 'Wii 2' console. I have a feeling they will just avoid this question, or say "we haven't had any plans for this". If they do, that will kill any intention for me to buy the 3DS. Sounds silly, and irrational, but it's clearly they truly do not want to embrace the online/cloud market.
