Topic: The "What I Want Released Most On VC That Noone Ever Requests" Thread

Posts 41 to 60 of 96

This one isn't requested because it's a Japan-only game, but since it's a cutesy 2D platformer on the SNES it would get by just fine: Magical Pop'n. The emulator in this video seems to be causing some recording problems, so don't judge the sprite flicker too much. Anyway, the main girl runs and jumps pretty quickly and has upward and downward stabs (which is notable with 16-bit games), a swinging mechanic, magic grenade-like things, and other goodies. It looks like it has all the makings of a great game.

You know, I hardly ever see anyone bring up Blaster Master for the NES. Great game and there's no reason it couldn't be on Virtual Console as far as I can see. Other notable "no one ever requests" are:

Blaster Master (NES)
Code Name: Vipor (NES)
Super Bonk (SNES)
Super Adventure Island 1 and 2 (SNES)
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (N64)

Future Wii purchases:
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Other M
Zelda Wii
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Sin and Punishment 2

Isn't that already up? Might be wrong but it could also be a PAL-NTSC region thing.

What about the Rayman games. Rayman was the most succesful on the PlayStation but there was also a SNES version. The PS version was put up on PSN so why not put the SNES version on the VC.

Rayman 2: the Great Escape is still one of the best 3D platform games. It rivaled Mario 64 during the late 90's and early 2000's as one of the greatest 2D-3D transitions in the platform genre. I'd like to play it on a console in full glory. I have the PC version and the PS version. But the PS version sucked because lots of levels were redone to be shorter. There was also a DS version ported from the N64 called Rayman DS but that sucked too, due to lack of an analog stick an bad framerates.

However in itself it is a very fun and addictive game with some of the best level design and gameplay ever in a 3D platformer and an atmosphere unmatched in those days. While Super Mario 64 was based around exploring vast 3D worlds, Rayman 2 had a more traditional approach, with fairly linear levels with more platform and obstacle-oriented gameplay.

Would definitely be the best idea for a new platform release on VC. Seeing the succes of Raving Rabbids on Wii it would be a great idea to see the games of the late 90's the series started out with.

My number one most wanted game for the VC is the N64 Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. It's one of the most hilarious, weird, and generally fun games I've ever played, and is by far my favorite N64 game. This is the Goemon game that plays from a 3rd person Zelda-esque style instead of Goemon's traditional sidecrolling, and it really worked well (although side-scrolling is always fun, too.) Aside from that, anything Castlevania, and Live a Live is a great idea. (Yes, I did just copypaste this from the other thread. Laziness go!)

YAY! More nods to Snowboard Kids!

I just remembered a few games that aren't mentioned often in these forums (a few times at best), and I don't remember seeing two of them at all!
1. Mario Party (Virtual Nintendo 64)
2. Mario Party 2 (Virtual Nintendo 64)
3. Mario Party 3 (Virtual Nintendo 64)
4. Bomberman 64 (Virtual Nintendo 64)
5. Kurukuru Kururin (Virtual Game Boy Advance...yeah, yeah, it'd be on DSi, but it's still a VC game at heart! Plus, I've been wanting to try it out since 2001!)

Well, there's my list of VC must-haves! Well...the second list, anyway...oh, and before, about Gex? I'd never download it if it hit VC, since my bro still has the 64 version...and it still works. Mole Mania, however, I'd definitely download in a snap!

The Misadventures of Flink
I believe it was released for the Mega Drive in Europe. I was only released on the Sega CD in the US.

So many seldom mentioned ones I'd like to see. Glad I read the thread first, because it reminded me of some.

Where to start. I guess arcade games. Some of this stuff is licensed and unlikely to appear (even less so with the limited support of VCA so far). One Superman game I'd like to see is the arcade game of the late 80s by Taito. And Atari's Batman based on the '89 movie. I've seen videos of it on YouTube and for the time of it's release it looks impressive (music very close to Danny Elfman's score). Would like to see Aliens by Konami, Willow by Capcom and T2: Judgment Day as well. In the way of things that are actually possible, from Nintendo, the original Donkey Kong (ironic that a Sega arcade game appeared on VCA before Nintendo's ground-breaking ape and plumber), Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Punch-Out and The Goonies (may be a Konami game, but just appeared on .VS). Konami's Gradius/Salamander arcade releases. Pumped plenty of quarters into Icari Warriors and Gyruss, so would like to see them as well.

On the NES... Ring King, Ninja Kid, Athena, Trojan, 1942 and 1943, Wizards & Warriors I & III (already have Ironsword), Legendary Wings, Skate or Die, WWF Wrestlemania (yeah I know, not gonna happen). Others I'm sure I've forgotten.

SNES...Legend, Super Double Dragon, Knights of the Round, TNMT Tournament Fighters, Saturday Night Slam Masters, plus plenty of other Konami and Capcom stuff that wouldn't qualify for this list because they're heavily requested.

N64... Blast Corps, Castlevania 64 (I think a little better of it than most, just find it frustrating) and Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (PLASSSSMMMAAAA!!!). Would be nice to see the REAL Metal Gear II, Metal Gear II: Solid Snake as well someday. I could keep going, but I've gone on long enough.

Super Tennis. Best tennis game ever made and I've never heard anyone on here (besides myself) ask for it.

You shouldn't have done that.

The game I want the most on VC is Little Samnson for NES, one of the best platformers ever imo.
Also, another call for Snowboard kids!

I thought I was going to be the first to say DuckTales but MetalMario beat me to it. I loved playing that game. I'd also like to see Metal Gear, Bubsy, Aero the Acrobat, Unicycles, San Francisco Rush Extreme Racing, and Extreme-G 1 & 2.

I'm wishing that they will release Donkey Kong 64. I mean they released Majora's Mask right? So they should release this. Or Rocket Knight Adventures which is the best game on Genesis.

Here are a few.
1.Mega Man IV-Mega Man VII
2.Star Wars:Rouge Squadron
3.Star Wars:Shadows of the Empire
4.World of Illusion (Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck)
This is a Sega Genesis game.
5.Excitebike 64
6.Mario & Wario
7.Sonic & Knuckles
8.Yoshi's Island
9.Super Mario All-Stars
10.Chrono Trigger
These requests are just the tip of the iceberg.
