No way, it is nearly finished. Nintendo is just holding off releasing it until 2010.

totally diffrent cups of tea. SMG is almost done and ready, while 128 was just a tech-demo and 64 2 was just a bit above a rumor. so what

I think it'll be released. It was already far enough into development to show several stages in the trailer, and Nintendo doesn't have this many game into development. I mean most of their games are actually developed by other studios like Teasure, Camelot and Team Ninja. I'm not saying they don't have a more decent year ahead of them, but they have had busier years before.

Don't let my location fool you. I'm Québécois, not Canadian.

If this doesn't get released, then I will personally march down to Nintendo (yes, I will march clean over the oceans. Or under them. Depends on the weather, wouldn't want to get rained on), steal the code from their PCs, print it to disk and then sell it for my own profit.

But in all seriousness, this is about 99.9% guarenteed to be released. There's always the possibility that Nintendo HQ will be swallowed up into the depths of Hell itself a week from print. But it seems unlikely.

Dissagree. However, it DEFINITELY needs more work. When i first saw the trailer, i was very excited. But, under closer inspection, some of the areas you could tell looked like those fan-made spoofs you see while randomly browsing on YouTube. But if they do cancel it, i will send morshu to nintendo in a package with lotsa BOMBS! lol

Nintendo has WAAAAAY too many games on its belt now. Agree or Disagree?

That's why it's set for next year! Also, Liam is right, SMG2 has gotten much further than those two, so it's quite unlikely it will go the same way. This isn't 3D Realms we're talkin', here!

Rest in peace, Pizza Channel, rest in peace.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Bizarre thread.

There is no question to answer, Super Mario Galaxy will be released some time in 2010.

Yeah, this games been confirmed, unlike the other two games which were basically just in the rumor stages.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

So here's a sweet idea (that won't happen because it makes too much sense.)

For games such as star fox 2 that got cancelled far along in development, what happens to the games when they are cancelled? I mean I'm sure the half finished star fox 2 is laying around in some form somewhere. I'm guessing they scrapped it because they didn't project it to sell enough copies to make releasing it profitable.

But now there are these handy tools for releasing games, the wiiware and virtual console services! Why not pay some one a little bit to finish the game, then release it through those medians? I mean, I'd sure as hell buy it, why not regain some of the money spent on production, give the fans something fun?

I have the ROM of it.

First of All, Super Mario 128 was never supposed to be a game, just a tech demo for the Gamecube (unfortunately ). Secondly, "Super Mario 64 2" is technically Super Mario Galaxy/Sunshine (depending on your view), so in essence, this "Super Mario 64 2" has always/never existed (yet again, depending on your view). Third of all, Why would Nintendo NOT have enough time to make SMG2? As someone already mentioned, most of the games that Nintendo "makes" are actually made by different, 2nd party companies. Yes, they have the new Zelda on the way, but everything that's new in SMG2 is already made, so all Nintendo needs to do now is make the levels, which takes about a total of 20-35 people, which isn't a lot. So, in theory, Nintendo can and should be able to release SMG2.
