Topic: SSBBrawl Music - Favorite stage songs

I hope with this topic to entice conversation and a light chat. Please no badgering or trolling. ^___

Now, you're allowed to post as little or as much as you want, but, please be fair and honest.

Going through the My Music option, i noticed that i am very picky about what tracks i want for each stage. I realized that many of the stages i absolutely love, but only have like, one or two of the tracks open for play on the stages. Am i the only one that does this?

Also i noticed a vast tonal difference when playing a match on certain stages, and which music plays during the match. For each stage I'm going to put my favorite song (or if there is a tie), and my opinions on that specific pairing. If anyone notices that i skip certain stages, there's a reason. there's about half a dozen stages i do not touch...

I chose to mostly only use the brawl specific stages, since the melee ones really only have like, 2 song options.

Battlefield - I really only use "Battlefield" ever.
I don't really like this stage so much, but i have friends that love it for "winner-takes-all" matches (some of my friends are more hardcore fighting game players than i am. I do tend to be the best Smash player in my group though, but i just do it for casual fun )

Final Destination - "Final Destination"
uhhh, the backgroung is pretty...and distracting

Delfino Plaza - "Delfino Plaza" only. This stage is cute. I think the main song fits it well. I have the "Super mario World" Title also sometimes.

Luigi's Mansion - Mostly "Airship Theme", maybe like, 9 times out of 10. Although i do think this stage has some of the best music. I love Tetris: Type A.

Rumble Falls - I know i skipped a few before, and i don't really hate them. But i hate this stage....so much...

Bridge of Eldin - This stage is fun, even though some of my friends don't like it. I have "Ocarina of Time Medley" and "Main Theme: TP" rotating as the main song.

Pirate Ship - from one of my favorite games ever, so the music is equally great. This is one of the few stages that is an exception to the rule of me only having one or two song on. "Dragon Roost Island", "The Great Sea", and "Molgera Battle" are all turned at 100%. "Gerudo Valley" is at half.

Norfair - Only use "Theme of Samus", all the others are turned off.

Frigate Orpheon - Another 3 way tie between "Vs. Ridley", "Vs. Meta-Ridley", and "Vs. Parasite Queen". All the others are turned off. "Opening/Menu" for Metroid Prime is on only a tiny bit as a random card song. I wish that narrator wasn't there...

Yoshi's Island - "Wildlands"

Halberd - Love this stage. I like some of the remixes, but how can they compare with "The Legendary Air Ride Machine"? I only use that song.

Lylat Cruise - Its either "Star Wolf: Assault" or "Break Through the Ice". This stage also has a very distracting background...

Pokemon Stadium 2 - I hate pokemon, but if i have to play this stage (come of my friends ARE Pokemon fans, i only use "Pokemon Center".

Spear Pillar - This stage is actually kinda cool, although if i play a "hardcore match", i usually just use Orpheon. "Victory Road" all the way.

Port Town Aero Dive - Freaking "Shotgun Kiss"! Love it. Its the only song that fits the stage in my mind. The others are akward.

Castle Seige - Another Stage with great music, but "Fire Emblem Theme" is so great i don't like to use anything else.

Warioware, INC. - "Warioware, INC. Medley" is incredibly schizophrenic, just like the stage, so it fits. Though i do use "Ashley's Song(JP)" quite a bit too.

Distant Planet - "Ai no Uta" pretty much all the time. All my japanese friends know the lyrics!! I wonder why...

Smashville - "The Roost", or "2:00AM". Completely different tones for each song. Though I do get excited for the Saturday night stuff!

New Pork City - "Porky's Theme". How could it be anything else?

(I'll skip a bunch here. There's a lot at the bottom of the screen i NEVER use)

Pictochat - Its either "Pictochat" or "Shaberu! DS Cooking Navi".

Shadow Moses Island - OMG, almost all the songs are great. Pretty much i use "Calling to the Night", "Snake Eater", and "MSG4 ~ Theme of Love".

Onett - "Mother 2". I love this song.

Corneria - I much prefer "Venom" over "Corneria", even though it wasn't the original song for this stage.

Green Greens - "Fountain of Dreams". Did they re-make this song from Melee? It sounds so much better.

Well, thats it. i know that was a lot to go over. Opinions? Comments?

2. Ocarina of Time Medley: Fantastic orchestrated piece!
1. Revenge of Meta Knight: Love the jazzy feel that gets stuck in your head for days!

@Tsuchinoko: I'm pretty sure all the Melee songs were remastered for Brawl.

Anyways, i'd have to say I like all of Brawl's music, so I can't really make a list. Too many awesome songs! X3

I was kind of disappointed with the Brawl version of "Unfounded Revenge". To me, it doesn't sound as epic as it does on GBA. Don't get me wrong, I still like it. It just sounds less like battle music.

Squeak Squad Main Theme is plain epicness.

The Kirby series has fantastic music. That was actually my favorite part of Ultra, believe it or not.

I don't know of one Kirby game that has bad music.

@Raylax To be honest, i think the sonic stage is one of my least favorite, though Rumble Falls takes that Gold Medal. The...Kid Icarus stage is pretty bad too. So uninspired. To me its basically just Battlefield but with floating platforms and the floor is semi-breakable. I dunno, its a really dull stage.

@Kingbuilder Actually, i didn't like the Brawl version of Waluigi Pinball, but i loved the Mario Kart DS version, i don't remember why i thought it was so much better. Is it really different? Its been a while since i heard the original.
