As some of you know when you buy a Wii Points card it has packaging of course that you can cut through but now all New Wii/Nintendo Point Cards will have a Electronic Signal on the actual packaging it will have on the back 2 long squared shaped antennas on the box where the hanger hole is that if brought out past the stores doors will go off cause of a special signal. Just wanted everyone to know that i guess people steal them alot but i just noticed today at my work.

you shouldn't warn them, if they try to steal they deserve to get caught.

There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore

in the store wher i buy, they just take out the cards and hand them out when you buy the package.

no electronic hocuspocus.

I thought it had to be activated by the store? Like the money part or else you put the code in and it doesn't work at all.

No one has to "activate" the cards. You simply purchase them, scratch the back off and input the digits. As far as the extra security with the bars on the back? That is just another step to stopping all the punks out there from getting their sorry hands on the product. Where I live, Target and Wal-Mart have them locked on the bar they hang from, so you have to ask for someone to unlock the bar, then hand it to you.

The only cards need activated are the Xbox 360 and PS3 points cards since they do not have packaging.

And I'm sure people steal from my Wal-Mart like that too.

Never notice the theft issues, but since I play by the rules and pay up, I won't have a problem.

At my Wal-Mart they had them in drawers at the back instead of displaying them on the rack but now they've put them on the racks now so maybe that's why?

They've had those in the card's packaging for awhile now, most people probably just didn't notice them.
