What PS3 and Wii games are you considering? That is a very vague question. And what games do you already have? What genres do you prefer? How much do you have to spend? Etc. Inform us before we can inform you.
I would say wii games. I really want a PS3 also, but for both systems there so many great games coming soon and that are already out that I would actually buy. And having to buy all of them would be a lot of money.
Thats a lot of money to be asking strangers how to spend ,but.......if your asking. I'd say buy Wii games +VC and WW games. You'll have a lot more fun than playing Random Bald Space Marine 2 in HD. But then if that's your kinda thing then you'll want a PS3 plus they do have a lot of multi-media funtions which are useful. Like Adam said you need to say what your preferences are really.

Well I've been wanting to get a PS3 for a long time and InFamous and Little Big Planet are really looking interesting to me. As for Wii just about all of the ones they showed at E3 or was at E3. Also I have most of Nintendo's main series that they have released such as Mario, Zelda, Metroid e.t.c. As for genre I like almost all of them and I can spend about $500.
One thing I keep thinking to myself is that, between Wii, PS3, and DSi, yes, I enjoy each... but I hardly have the time to enjoy them fully. I can say nothing bad about the PS3, but I wonder if maybe I'd have been better off limiting myself to one console so I'd have more time to enjoy games in depth, rather than dabbling in way too many at once. Got a couple weeks with not much to do ahead of me, though, so hopefully I'll fix that problem by finish a bunch of games.
I've read some negative reports on Muramasa. It unfortunately might not be the amazing game we've been anticipating, but time will tell. New Super Mario Brothers has potential. The video reminds me a lot of Little Big Planet, actually, except without the level editor (which doesn't bother me one bit -- that is one sorry excuse for a level editor, way too clunky and complicated). InFamous though has no parallel on Wii. I personally play PS3 mostly for online games since Wii's online service is pretty awful generally (though there are some noticeable exceptions) and for PSN games.
I wouldn't buy a PS3 just for those two games. If there are others you are looking forward to, though, getting a new console is exciting, so I'd take the chance on it. Personally, I would have bought it just for Demons Souls, which looks amazing. October really needs to hurry up.
I wouldn't rely on others suggesting what you should do, but if you have any particular questions about the PS3, shoot. It's a great console.
Guys should I save up for groceries or buy wii games? I've been waiting a long time to buy more food - ramen and rice cakes are getting kinda tiresome when you have them for breakfast, lunch, and dindin tbh and the bread's moldy afaik. But i have some old games that don't have very high trade-in values that i could grind up and make into a porridge and that might carry me over a couple more weeks. Tell me what you think!
If I was you, I will stick with the Wii and wait for the ps3. Now there is a new rumor from the amazon page from Germany that says that ps3 slim is on the go. The best moment to buy a console its after a price cut. You don't want to buy a ps3 and find out one month later that a better model is coming.
You're avatar suggests you love Nintendo. Don't do it, keep the faith! Imagine in Q1/2 of 2010 when you've got an awesome PS3 yet no cash to buy Other:M, MH3, SMG2, NSMB, and many more.
Anyway, I wouldn't get a PS3 now because there is a rumored PRICE CUT and SLIM PS3 coming out sometime (not announced yet).
Yea, that has been rumored since pre-launch. I don't know why people even bother to keep reporting this. Anyone interested in a PS3 shouldn't wait for something that may not come, at least no time soon.
I would wait at last till late fall - if there WILL be a price cut, there it will be.
Certainly Sony is not going to tip their hand either way, why would they.
Myself I would buy more wii games in any case, or else sell the wii and buy a ps3 multi console ownership is overrated you spend so much money on hardware it gets ridiculous...
look at excluives and say where do i want to be.....?
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up
