Yes Nintendo still does Nintendo's Core Games for us. Of course, it depends of the defenition of "Hardcore" that people use. I could be Mature Rated games, it could be oldschool gaming, etc... etc... for me "Hardcore" it's just a term used by elitists for trying to be better that everyone else.
WHERE ARE ZEY? OH, SWEET MONSEUR! Help! I needz help! (now its a scavenger hunt, find all the Blitties on the Internet that you can) and maybe you can takez my dog on ze walk!
It's more like Nintendo is TRYING to cater to the Hardcores. I say this is because Nintendo is trying to make hardcore fans happy with "Revival Games" (S&P2, NSMB Wii, etc.) while their main focus is how to make casual audiences notice and enjoy these games that have otherworldly concepts.

@ryanknight717 and MetalMario: Your straying this thread off it's course.
Anyway, it's nice to hear that Nintendo has not abandon the hardcore gamers. They never had done that and still hasn't. It's too bad people won't believe that.
However, I would like NOA to prove to us that they do care about the hardcore gamers. I may love Nintendo, but that doesn't excuse the NOA division to spill more **** then what Nintendo of Japan and NOE has done.
I am mixed on that. I think some of the games they have published have been excellent. But I also think Capcom has been doing a good job trying to cater to the gamers out there. But I look at the long haul and the games coming out that have release dates from Nintendo the only one I plan on picking up is Metroid Other M. The rest are from third party developers. Which is fine as long as the games are good.
