So, you wanna complain, or praise Nintendo for some of the elements on the VC? Wanna mention some of the titles you've long-anticipated to appear? Well, be sure to use the Club Nintendo surveys to your advantage to do just that.

I got this question in my survey for Tower of Druaga (VCA) which I'm filling out right now.

In 255 words or less, what would you say?

If I even had the chance, I would say something along the lines of: "I really like and appreciate your Virtual Console service! You give us old games for truly cheap prices! You even give us games unreleased in other regions! Also, you are generous enough to allow systems from other companies, like Sega! However, I am curious as to why you do not release as many games as you once used to. (You once released 3 Virtual Console games per week, yet you now usually release only one.) This is odd, especially considering that you had since released support for the NeoGeo and Commondore 64 as well as arcade titles. If you cannot release more Virtual Console games per week, then at least tell me why, please."

Actually, I like Bowser AND hairy bellies!

@Terranigma: This is for North America's Club Nintendo.

I had a reply consisting of about 6 sentences but I wanted to stay within the character limit so I shortened it and this is what I stuck with:
"If Nintendo could improve VCA & N64 releases (dying for Mario Party 1-3, DK64, Super Smash Bros. Snowboard Kids), and improve the rate at which VC games are added, I'd be more pleased with the VC service as a whole. Otherwise, it's absolutely great."

The next VC survey I do (I noticed that question re-appears in my survey for DETANA Twinbee), I'll be able to add more.

Have you ever suggested things specifically? Like saying: "Oh, a couple games I'm dying to see are..."
It's a great discreet way to give Nintendo a nudge if you ever wanted to send VC requests to Nintendo.

Hey, thanks for posting this. My plan was to delay taking surveys as long as possible every year so that I could fill in any gaps of needed coins, so I might not have known until next June that these Virtual Console post-play surveys were any different from other surveys and could let me voice my opinion (even if it goes unread) on something I value so highly.

It could be a bit better. More 64 games would be nice. Maybe add Sega Saturn. More imports. And get the best games, not ones that no one has ever heard of.

1st of all, Sega Saturn games probably won't be on VC until the next nintnedo system due to emulation issues. Yes, more imports would be nice. Please do keep in mind that some people have a different opinion on what they consider to be the best games. For example, you may think that Real Bout Fatal Fury & Sengoku 3 look pretty boring, but I think they're pretty great. You're not the only one who uses the VC.

Never said he was.

Just for you.

He's saying that people have different tastes. Some on the news updates go on about how Nintendo is releasing "more games that people don't want" but that's not entirely true. A game like California Games may not appeal to a large group of people but it certainly appeals to some and some may even have been really looking forward to it getting a release. So for that reason, people shouldn't conclude that the majority of people don't want a game that's being added just because they don't like the game. If it's a game like Wonder Boy: Monster Lair or Donkey Kong Jr. Math then that may be a different story.

"Hello. When I access the Virtual Console for the first time on June, 2008, I was introduced to great games that I've never heard of before like River City Ransom, and classics like Super Mario World. However, since November, 2008, when you've decided to go one-game week, the quality and quanity of games took a dive and as a result, made millions of fans furious. Please remedy the problem as soon as possible."

I have filled out Club Nintendo surveys. I mention that the 1st year of the VC service was awesome with great games every week. But since then systems like Neo Geo and VC arcade are just ignored. You really need 2 games a week to build up any decent size library. I would like to see the VC get up to 500-600 games before cutting back to 1 game a week. Also the VC is still short on racing games and we have 0 wrestling games. I would also like to see Nintendo hold off of releasing doubles of games until we get more originals first. For example, do we need another version of Golden Axe, Galaga 88, and Space Harrier when we don't even have 1 Outrun or Afterburner game yet.

Great service, great idea, add more games weekly, one game per week is laughable and sad.

It has its ups and downs (now most of the time downs) but it has alot of great classics, just needs some ups from time to time.

Nintendo Your VC service is highly praised by me for you to bring great titles such as Metal Slug Mario Zelda Metroid & Many Others is truly remarkable. Apart from that it would be A wonderful opportunity to regain The vc bringing more of your timeless classics instead of 1 Vc title a Week.

Your VC service is good, but you have almost completly stopped supporting N64 games. You also need to have more then 1 VC game per week. Please release Super Smash Bros. on the VC VERY SOON!!

"It is doable."

However, the fact that PAL gets 50hrz is questionable. Also, Gunstar Heroes needs a HDTV patch.
