Topic: Online Play for Monster Hunter 3 to be free in NA?

Well, I never knew Japan had to pay a subscription fee, but scope the link and come back here to voice your opinions!

As for my input:

We want Classic Controller Pro!

As for me, I wouldn't even consider the game if I had to pay for online.

I refuse to buy a classic controller until the pro comes out. The current is so uncomfortable.

Let's hope North Americans don't have to pay for online. I would love it if they made online free, it would remain as my 2nd most anticapated Wii games. My birthday can't come soon enough.

Sweet! I've heard it'll come out in March so maybe I'll get it for my B-Day.

Having just learned that the online co-op is not what I thought it was, I am extremely interested to see how this turns out. I'm not one for subscriptions, so MH3 will have to be an amazing online experience for me to start throwing extra money, at a game I have already payed for.

I cannot wait to see how this game turns out. Trailers look pretty amazing.

Really depends on how popular the game is, which it might be uber-popular because of the fact that it has gotten a surprising amount of press. But here's to hoping that there's NOT going to be a fee!

I don't forsee the first one having a fee since Capcom is obsessed with making MH a huge franchise outside of Japan and the Wii is the second one they're really pushing hard, and a fee would be counter productive to that. If it sells between 250,000-500,000 then I see a fee for future releases....then again, millions and millions pay for the mediocre WoW so anything is possible.

@Machu: Please elaborate -- you mean the fact that you don't play through the entire game online?
