With the recent PEGI rating of Micheal Jackson's Moonwalker, which proves that games with licensing issues can make on the Virtual Console, I would like to hear your thoughts if you think we'll ever see anymore licensed titles on the Virtual Console.
I think we'll be seeing more before this generation ends. I believe these game have some sort of possibility as of now: 1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Arcade Game (Nintendo Entertainment System) 2. TMNT 3: The Manhatten Project (NES) 3. TMNT IV: Turtles In Time (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) 4. Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures (SNES) 5. Indiana Jones & The Infernal Machine (Nintendo 64) 6. Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire (N64) 7. Star Wars: Rouge Squadron (N64) 8. Super Godzilla (SNES) 9. X-Men: Childern of Atoms (Arcade) 10. Marvel Super Heroes: Wars Of The Gems (SNES) 11. X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (SNES) 12. X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (Arcade) 13. Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter (Arcade) 14. Marvel Vs. Capcom (Arcade) 15. Marvel Super Heroes (Arcade) 16. Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer (N64) 17. Star Wars Episode 1: Battle for Naboo (N64)
@zoipi: It's not impossible. The game was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega CD, and the Sega Genesis, plus is was published by Sega in Japan for the Sega Genesis version and Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version in Japan.
On top of that, Traveller's Tales is a muti-platform developer and the game main protagonist is also the playable character in Epic Mickey.
It is very unlikely, don't get me wrong, but it is very slightly possible.
i hope i am going to get one for the gamecube to buld up the hype for epic mickey hopefully a vc one to

Let's get back on topic. This is not an Mickey Mania thread but a thread to see if we'll see anymore licensed games after Micheal Jackson's Moonwalker.
For starters, X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, & Marvel vs. Capcom 1 might have a chance since they're small enough to satisfy the 40 MB limit, Capcom possibly still having the rights to put up their Marvel games on the digital distribution services & the possibility of Capcom releasing these games to make up for no MVC 2 on the Wii Shop channel make it seem somewhat possible. X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse & Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems might also be possible.
I think Super Godzilla & Godzilla: Kaijuu Daikessen for the Super Famicom is also possible. Both of them might be published by Toho after all, so it's kinda of a possibilty. It's probably a matter of when they start supporting the VC. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if either of those games would make their way outside Japan to the Euro & NA VCs.
Last, but not least, Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Star Wars: Episode I Racer, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Star Wars Episode I: Battle for Naboo, and Indiana Jones & the Infernal Machine are also possible. After all, all of them have been published by Lucasarts themselves!
@marktheshark: That's a lot of possible titles. I'm actually surprised you've didn't mentioned the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games, especially since the original NES game is already up for grabs, but maybe because the gaming franchise is being published by Ubisoft. Maybe if and when they support the Virtual Console will we see the classic TMNT games on the Virtual Console.
You also mentioned a lot of Marvel games. I'm also wondering. If Sega can release a game based entirely off licensed property (In this case, Micheal Jackson's Moonwalker), then why did they get rid of all Marvel reference in Revenge of Shinobi? Let's say Disney starts to support the Virtual Console, then Marvel will have to support too. Therefore, we might be able to see a version with Marvel characters in the original version (With of course the DC characters still being changed).
You also said you were not sure if the Godzilla games would be released on the Virtual Console. This I can fully understand, Kaijuu Daikessen will probably never be on the North American and European Virtual Console since it was released exclusively on the Japanese Super Famicon. However, if Toho does support the Virtual Console, we might see Super Godzilla, since the game was released in Japan and North America, so North American could see that. You also forgot Godzilla: Monster of Monsters and Godzilla 2: War of the Monsters, which were also published by Toho, so North American might see both of those and European, the first NES installment.
So overall on the Godzilla games, if Toho ever supports the Virtual Console, North Americans have a possibility of the first three games and Europe only Godzilla: Monster of Monsters.
Also, on the last part, you are right about all those games are possible, especially Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures, which is likely. Aside from that, all are still questionable, because the Nintendo 64 Virtual Console support from 3rd party is absolutely nonexistance.
Disney could release Mickey Mania for SNES or Genesis to tie in with Epic Mickey. I hope Batman Returns SNES will get released. That's a kick ass game!
