Table tennis! Score! Our real table is warped, so this is perfect. I'm now actually glad I preordered this. Thanks for the link!
Also, Golf's meter looks little different from the one in the last Wii Sports, so I wouldn't worry just yet. It will probably still be 'arcadey,' knowing Nintendo (thankfully).
I loved golf in the old version, new holes and maybe more holes definitely will be the blast. And table tennis definitely looks better than the WiiPlay version.

Wii Play's table tennis is not that bad. Rallying is challenging, and playing with a friend is fun. It gets old fast, though, and holding your arm straight and steady is tiring for extended periods of time. This certainly looks to raise the bar.
The super slo-mo camera is pretty wicked.... And I'm psyched to see new info on Resort, and Motion+ in general. But, um, why are we getting another Golf game? If there are only 8 or 10 games total on the disc, I'd rather they all be unique to this game, and not an updated rehash of what was already on WiiSports. (In direct contradiction to that, I love the inclusion of Table Tennis, even though it was already seen in Play).

I'll probably only play the sword fighting game in anticipation for Red Steel 2. I don't have much interest in the other games they've announced so far.
@LittleIrves: My guess would be, that Golf will be the only "renewed" game. Basically because they can make it more different from the old version thanks to the new golf courses. Until today I thought they're going to do Minigolf, but I'm happier with an improved version of Golf with new courses and hopefully 18 instead of just 9 holes.
So far Wii Sports Resorts will contain:
Disc
Sword Fighting
Jet Skiing
Table Tennis
Golf 2.0
any ideas what could be in the game next to those? Squash as a new version of Tennis definitely would be cool. And the "Resorts" theme basically screams "Volleyball".

It is weird that we're getting another golf game, but I don't mind. The previous one was finicky. Of all the Wii Sports, it responded the most poorly, often not registering a swing or just not registering it properly, turning a slight put into a real whammy. It was the most fun of the sports despite this, so I look forward to the update.
@Tourian Tourist Volleyball would be great, but a two-handed sport seems difficult. The jetski game uses nunchuck, I think, but that is just to rotate the controller, isn't it? -- not give free movement. Or does Motion+ enhance the nunchuck, too? Five sports seems like enough, considering Wii Sports had the same amount. The different challenge modes based on these will fill it up nicely.
@TourianTourist A full 18 hole course with improved swing mechanics would be pretty cool, I agree. So I'm not too disappointed; just find the choice curious, is all. More importantly: "Fruity Oaty Bars"! Am I wrong, or is that from the ad in Serenity that activates River? Oooh Firefly. How I miss thee. At least Whedon fans can rejoice, since Dollhouse is renewed. But now we're getting off-topic....

Golf controls are not wonky at all Adam - let me help you out....
1. The motion must have a beggining and an end - you can confuse the game if you do not register abrubt movements.
2. When you putt the sensitivity is doubled....
I find it very consistent, I am quite proficent with it - of course it takes a little muscle memory - but that is what practice swings are for! Excellent physics game!
Hardcore, casual = marketing. The real divide is between arcade and narrative games.
Well, that's basically what I meant. I'm hoping the controls for Golf 2 recognize all movements (that's what M+ is for, anyway), not just certain ones. Sometimes the game stops registering my input mid-swing, which is weird. Putts sometimes don't register at all, and then all of a sudden the ball will be putted like an inch without any input at all. It's bizarre, but great game regardless. I still enjoy it on occasion, though it's definitely my worst sport of the five due to these problems.
@LittleIrves: Yes, that's from Firefly, I'm a huge fan of that show. But I'm not a fan of Dollhouse, this show doesn't work for me. And Terminator, where Summer Glau was portraying a similar role to River (Cameron), sadly was cancelled today... and this now when the new Terminator movie comes out. Fox is so blind. But urrrh... that's off topic, sorry. ^^
@Adam: I don't think the nunchuk gets improved with the Motion+ thingy. So, yes, you're right, Volleyball might be a problem with the two handed controls.
