Hey everyone!

I've been a Wii owner for three months now and I must say this console has really made me come closer to my neighbors and it has saved me from many boring evenings. I have one problem tho. We have played through every level and taken every single star coin in New Super Mario Bros Wii, reached pro status in Wii Tennis and Wii Bowling and my neighbours think I'm too good at Super Smash Bros Brawl after locking up all of the playable characters, so now I'm lost. All alone searching for a new oasis in the huge game shop wasteland. ;P

I've tried Grand Slam Tennis since Wii tennis was such a hit, but it was too slow. You have to wait through breaks and the games where too short (mostly because we kind of suck).

So I'm searching for a multi-player game with no cut scenes and no other interruptions. Just plain old jump-right-in-and-play-action a la New Super Mario Bros and Wii Tennis. Genre doesn't really matter although we have a anti-racing girl in our little gang, so Mario Kart is a no go. Are there any good ones out there that I should check out?

If you're willing to spend the money I recommend Rock Band. Especially the Beatles version. Two Guitars + One Drum Kit + Three Mics = Six people rocking out at once. I've had tons of people play that with me. Any version of Rock Band would probably be good though.

Tiger Woods 10 has a pretty fun Party mode actually and if you have Motion plus you can play Disc Golf, which feels great.

Might also consider some Wii Ware games. Bit.Trip Beat lets up to four people play at once and it's good retro arcade fun. Probably some others I'm forgetting.

EDIT: Forgot Boom Blox. Simple and Very fun local multiplier mode. Haven't played the sequel so I'm not sure about it.

I still have yet to review it, but Alien Syndrome is a dirt cheap action RPG with four player support. Marvel Ultimate Alliance also supports four players (just be sure you use the button workarounds as indicated in my review becase the motion controls are a bit wonky).

Rogue Trooper is a 3rd-person action title with 4-way multiplayer via split screen either free-for-all or co-op.

If you like strategy Military Madness: Nectaris supports 4-player multiplayer on WiiWare (local and online). I'll hopefully get my review online today.

This is actually a really good game. I bought it from the clearance bin at Target several months ago and was pleasantly surprised with it. It's got a serious coin-arcade feel to it and is a blast to play and "level up". I'm still on-the-fence about multi-player though since I hate it when I can't move any further on the screen because my teammate(s) are lagging behind (does that makes sense?). If it were some kind of split-screen, I think I'd enjoy the multiplayer much more.

Mario Kar- er, I mean Party 8, if you don't mind luck-based games. I also recommend Wii Sports Resort.

Is the original Boom Blox worth picking up for the multiplayer? The sequel seems more geared towards multiplayer but it's more expensive. I just want something to play with my girlfriend.

The sequel is improved all around: more levels than you'll know what to do with, full editor (the whole game was built with it; editor in the first game cannot be used to recreate the game levels) and no-codes online for sharing levels and downloading - I cannot tell you how many EA have made available along with other users - I don't think you'll ever run out!

Guess I'll just to have to stop being cheap, then. Cheers Sean. :]

WarioWare: Smooth Moves is great fun for 2-12 players if you don't mind looking silly. You'll have to play the single player mode first to unlock multiplayer though.

On Wiiware/Virtual Console:
Any Bomberman game
