Don

Since Super Mario Collection for the Wii will released in Japan for a limited time only, is it better to import it right away or wait and see if the game will be released in the West as well? Which option is better?

Don

Hokori

Well You cant really import it because the Wii is region locked

THIS IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION!!!

Seriously, I never knew the Wii was region locked. I just assumed it wasn't because the DS isn't, lol. Good thing I never import games for it.

I wouldnt want it imported anyway. I like to be able to read my games (and any history of Mario books that come with it)

He can import it.
1. He might just want it as a collectors item.
2. Hax make it work.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

It'll be released in the west - there'd be nerd outrage if it wasn't.

The game hasn't even been officially announced by Nintendo. Just wait until we get some more information.

You don't think the market here is too niche for a retail release of old Mario games?

SuperPeach

If you really want it you should go for, there are ways to make it work on a US wii. I suggest waiting a bit before you do though to see if it comes out here.

If you have a Wii (which you do) why not just buy the games in the collection on VC? It's not like you're gonna be able to read the History of Mario book that comes with the game.

@LuWiiGi It make a great collectors item and years from now it could be worth a nice sum of money, plus it gives you the right to brag. VC isn't worth diddly squat, what's the point...

Import a japanese Wii. Import the game. Problem solved.

Of course not - New Super Mario Bros Wii was a big seller. These games will no doubt be in a similar style, old games updated for a modern audience, it'll be number 1 on the charts without a doubt just like the original Allstars.
