I barely play disc games now. All I want is what I've downloaded from the Shop. When a new retail game comes out that I want, then I'll play that for a while of course, but even then there's not much I want. The last game was Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and the next game will be Super Mario Galaxy 2. Whereas I download about two to three WiiWare or VC games every month.
Man, that's a tough one. I'm not being sarcastic either (for once ) . I'd say probably downloaded games because I'm lazy and don't like changing discs constantly when I tire of playing a game (I'm bad about playing a game all out for a couple of hours, then tiring of it for a day or so, rinse repeat) so I just start up a VC or WiiWare game.
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
I used to play downloadable games more, but I'm trying to keep a handle on how many downloadables I purchase due to the inevitable fact that WiiWare/VC games will not be transferrable to the next Nintendo system.
I can't remember the last time I played a Wii game, Brawl stopped working a few months ago, I hadn;t played anything for a while before then, or since then.
Since I'm playing Melee a bit I might be 80/20 VCware/GC
both, but if I could i'd prefer Wiiware so I know I'm not ruining the laser.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
I only play disc games if playing with friends, which is rare since we only get together so often and prefer board games. NSMBW and Brawl take care of all our multi-player needs, and I stick to Bit Trip and VC games when playing alone.
I'm tending to play more disc games for the Wii. Much though I prefer the convenience of downloads, there are only really a handful of games that stand up to the best disc ones due to the size constraints. Also, with discounted and second hand games it's often possible to get full on epics for the same price as a throwaway download.
Virtual Console 80 % (downloaded about 50 VC games so far) Retail games: 20 % (may improve this year thanks to Metroid: Other M and SMG2) WiiWare: 0 % (I haven't downloaded any WiiWare game.)
On my Xbox360: 70 % retail, 30 % Xbox Live Arcade games
Since I only recently just got my first Wiware game(which I have yet to play) and havent play any retail games for my Wii since around Christmas. That would put my Wiware to retail ratio close to around 0:0.
