F&FP has been removed from the Wii Shop in both of our regions. We can only assume that it didn't reach target sales within a specified time and was therefore removed.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
F&FP was removed from my radar before it came out--I'm not surprised I didn't notice.
My game-development side does shed a tear though...that's gotta be rough for a developer to see their work go down in flames. Poor Incoming!!...and poorer still those who bought it

Well its definitely gone from the European Shop. Maybe its a very recent thing and they just haven't removed it from their website yet.
I personally do not want any WiiWare game removed even if it does sell quite badly. Family & Friends Party is still better than several other WiiWare games I could mention (not that I've downloaded or played F&FP). But I have to agree that F&FP was below everyone's radar and no one will care much over its passing.
Maybe now they've started to remove under-achieving games that developers will take notice and put more effort into making games.
And because I think it deserves sharing, someone else, Tepuri, posted this on GameFAQs:
Nintendo giveth, Nintendo taketh away. It was just two weeks ago that Little Red Riding Hood invited Family & Friends Party, me and the rest of the Gammick gang all to meet up again in Barcelona for a zombie BBQ. Always the party animal, even in death, Family & Friends Party has gathered so many of us again today.
As Family & Friends Party normally did, it joked around about its own mortality. She said something that will stay in my mind for a long time. She said, "you know Animal Boxing, I probably won’t make it much longer. I’ve lived too much, too hard. Too many cigarettes and too many beers. If one of us our friends or family gets sick, we all feel sick. That scathing review from the MTV blogger felt like the nail in the coffin." We both smiled and started to chuckle a bit, not really believing what it said. Two weeks later, here we are, minus many. Family & Friends Party gone from our lives because of a drunk driver. I still can’t believe it is gone.
I was never really close to my immediate family. I had a few friends growing up, but those were mostly Penguins & Friends. I decided to attend college in Madrid in the fall of ’84, hoping to begin a new and exciting chapter in my life. I was going to room with my cousin Fritz, whom I knew a little bit, mostly because we often met up for chess matches. After about a week, I met Family & Friends Party. We hit it off immediately. We did the normal college thing, parties, drinking, carousing, looking for love, hitting the arcades, and more parties. We managed to fit studying in there somehow.
That relationship continued for the next 25 years. We both found jobs in the same area, and raised our families together. My wife and I were the godparents of its children, and Family & Friends Party and Shanblue Interactive were the godparents of our two daughters. We shared some wonderful times together. I will never forget them.
I can honestly say that there are only a few people who have walked into my life and changed it forever. My wife, two lovely daughters, and Family & Friends Party. It gave me the first opportunity to open up to somebody. It was the first person I enjoyed spending time with. It was my first true friend and family member. It taught me that life is short, and the most important part of life is the times you spend playing with your family and friends. I will be grateful for its teachings forever.
To its family, Shanblue, Abylight, Freedom Factory, and Enjoy Up, I love you as if you were my own. In many ways you are. I want you to know that my family and I will be there for you in this difficult time. We will help ease the suffering that you are going through.
Family & Friends Party, I love you. I miss you. Your family is in good hands. You have graced my life more than you will ever know. God bless.
I agree Bass, I hope they are just updating it. Not that I care about this particular game, problem is that if titles low on sales start being removed there is a risk that some games I have been holding on (Be it because of time or money) could be removed without warning (such as Potpourri), even if they were actually good (Mighty flip champs, hardly made it to the top 20)
Well I'm sure other games on the service didn't achieve the sales numbers that they had to but they weren't removed (e.g., Bruiser and Scratch?) so yeah, I'd say they're probably just fixing things.
I didn't see that other topic. I saw the news on the VC forum but I didn't scroll down far enough when I was checking to see if it had already been made on here.

EnjoyUp, developers of Family & Friends Party told me the "new version" is now tested by Nintendo. The game will be re-released in the Wii Shop soon.
I can't wait to finally play that game with my family & friends, no pun intended.
The last time I loaded it up, it froze in the Mii selection as always. When we tried to play it without Miis, we managed to see 5 different minigames and the game was FUN! Pantomime is our favourite, ironically a game that needs no program code or coding skills, just 4 players. Paint puzzle is also a good one. Hangman and Backwards Spelling are quite hilarious with 4 players. Senso (remember the colors) is old and lame though and our least favourite. The few minutes into the game we were really entertained. The update can't come soon enough.
Whew, I'm glad to hear that the game wasn't removed for good. I don't think Nintendo would remove games from the VC, WiiWare, or DSIWare, unless they just had to, because they are always making a big deal about milestones (100th game, etc etc).
Well that's obvious. That's precisely why I wanted to give it a try when it came out as some of the mini-games I'm a big fan of (e.g., Pictionary). Glad to hear you enjoy this as much as TV Show King. That's a good recommendation if you ask me.
