It's because she was way too monotone at times when actually talking. (mainly the Metroid project realization cutscene)
I hope for an Other M sequel as long as they listen to (the more reasonable) complaints. Considering the recent streak of improved sequels for games, I could see that happening too.
The new way of having new items, like new beams it not bad, but people are right, I fell better that after killing a onster I get a new beam that adam says that I can use it because I actually need it.

there's a difference between being scared and having post traumatic stress disorder, which is what samus was suffering from in that scene regardless of how many times people misinterpret it. i don't get why it's unreasonable for her to have developed an issue with ridley after watching him murder her mother at the age of 3- you get brutally orphaned by a demonic dragon and grow up alone among a different species and you're supposed to come out of it with no ill effects? what people are expecting of her isn't bad a*sed, it's inhuman. and, shock, out of character considering her past.
@31 absolutely. if anything it makes it better acting/story. They need to split the series or do a spinoff or something. We already know there's another hunter still alive(MP3 post credits) so we can continue both series or create another character in a different universe and make it like the one that was least favorable.
