I say that it NEEDS more for the Wii. If you agree, say yes. Or if you don't agree, say no.
I have NSMBW, but I was a bit disappointed about the lack of online play and level editor. But hopefully if they'll put those modes available in the next 2D Mario platformer.
yeah, what Digiki said. it has more than any system in the world, why can't we be satisfied with that?
and really, online and level editors dont equal a good game anyway. a level editor would have been cool, but i really think it would have gotten old quickly, knowing from the start how you have to jump at any given portion of the level. besides even if they had put one in, it would likely have been a dumbed-down version like in Brawl, because of the HUGE amount of objects in that game. and online? really? you have any idea how annoying that would be? hooking your wii up so you could have people help you finish a level you're stuck on, only to find it's some random jerk who just wants to throw you to your death and waste all your lives? yeah, there's a vs. mode, too, but that's not as good. i can promise you this: no online in NSMBWii is not a loss just because IGN says it is.
While more platformers would be nice, I'd rather have more good third party games for the system. So, in short, YES, but only if the platformers are good.

@bro2dragons Agreed! IGN said NSMBWii suffers due to lack of online play? What were they thinking?! There's enough hatred caused by local coop as it is! At least in local multiplayer you have the opportunity to give your annoying friends a whack when they waste lives or horde powerups.
I have enough... We're talking what.. 4 or 5 on the VC, NSMBWII and there's Wario Shake It... more than enough. I assume at one point in the future they might make NSMBWII 2.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
We already have most of the best from the Golden Age of 2D platforming enshrined in the VC.
I wouldn't mind more platformers, but I don't know when I'd get a chance to play them amongst all the greats from "back in the day." I'd also prefer some variety, like for example, a really good Sonic game (/cries hopelessly in a corner). WW seems to be the home for most 2D plats, but I have no problem with more full fledged retail releases too. At the end of the day, who can really complain about too many platformers?!
No not really, because I'd rather see other franchises(a la Star Fox and F-zero), be on the platform rather than another Mario. And anyways why not have NSMBW be that special little Wii game? lol

I don't know....And NSMBWii didn't feel like a real effort, it felt lazy and uncreative overall. Super Paper Mario was great....but I'm not too sure if they should whip out another 2D Mario game for the Wii.
But I would like to see a sequal to Wario Land Shake it! and Klonoa
