It's likely, very likely. Unfortunately, that would decrease the value of the cartridge copy by quite a bit.

If you had one, why would it be bad that bozoes can't get away with charging $100+ for an old Gameboy Color game?
Elementary. Some people take pride in having a rare game.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

And the cart will still be rare, even if more people can play it. I doubt the price would go down that much, since VC/VH games are just roms that you pay for, and I doubt collectors would settle for that. All it really means is that avid and casual gamers are less likely to buy an actual cart, and the chances of them forking over $100+ for a 10 year old GBC game was already slim to none. It was only really valuable to collectors because it was rare and it was fun, and a rerelease on Virtual Handheld won't put a dent in that. At the very least, I haven't seen any evidence of VC doing much to reduce the value of rare games.
EDIT: Although maybe I'm wrong, because I just looked up Ogre Battle 64, which was usually priced at about $100 about 9 months ago, and now there are about 20 copies going for $10-$30.O_O
And yet some people are still willing to pay $75 for MUSHA.
