anyway, just call it café. WITH the accent mark over the e. or i'll be back...
i think my only other pet peeves are when people compare pro wrestling to MMA and when people call native americans "indians". so if you could incorporate those two things in your next post it'd be great
Lots of censorship here...

P.S: you have too many pet peeves see a specialist
btw, i was at a local café, discussing with a native American friend of mine that MMA has nothing to do with pro wrestling. God! How is it possible he couldn't see the difference? Eventually after a fiery argument and a lot of effort he agreed.
hmm no. it's not like gears of war. it is like a classic shooter with spaceships, only with humans i can't explain but if you play it you will understand what i mean. there is a demo if you have a 360.
Don't get me wrong, the basic gameplay itself is in some ways better than your average shooter, I like much of the simplicity of it and some of the bosses could be flat out incredible from a visual and gameplay standpoint. I also love how you seemlessly go from one level to the next. However, it just got old way too quickly, despite the weapon switching, the game had WAY too much sameness to it. You spend like 1/4 of the whole game watching bad cutscenes with overdone action scenes, boring cliches and worthless characters (the villian is just your saturday morning cartoon villian, except without being unintentionally hilarious). I admit I should have skipped them (were they skippable?) but they're still part of the game so that's no excuse. When 1/4 (maybe 1/5, I dunno) of the game is the story, and the story sucks to the point that it makes you want to stop playing, that's not a good sign. Don't waste my time with crap no one cares about just to increase the game's length.
Speaking of which, it's only like six hours long, which is not acceptable for a sixty dollar game unless there is some great replayability. Not to mention certain aspects of the game (the speed booster thing mainly) feel fairly worthless. I could never control it that well and since it is the best choice almost all of the time to use the slowdown time/dodge moves instead, it feels useless despite being one of the coolest parts of the game, and something that convinced me to buy it.
I never did those challenges since I was distracted by better games, maybe those are better (I doubt they have story so probably).
Length and constant choke points aside, I thought Vanquish was a pretty good game. I guess the crappy story didn't really bother me. I could pretty much tell by looking at the cover what I was getting into as far as that goes.
The game is a challenge. Not a story driven game. How long it lasts is irrelevant. For the intensity of it it is long enough.
I am not comparing but Fable was 10 hours and Mass Effect about 15. Duration is relevant only in sex i gulp my favourite burger in virtually no time!
I understand the reasons why some people don't like it, and your taste is respected, but whether we like something or not, has nothing to do with the quality of it. Many people do not like Aston Martin. That doesn't mean that they are bad cars.
Whoever played and liked PN03 on gamecube understands what i am saying After all it is a game from Shinji Mikami! The same guy who made PN03! (PN03 had received similar complaints by certain gamers shallow story, short etc.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P.N.03
Critically speaking it has received 84 on metacritic and 8.0 from the gamers. This means it is a good game. A second version could improve on the weak points.
Only if they utilize the power of the console and not a direct port.
That's just feeding the GFX peeps into saying "It's not more powerful than the PS3 lol"
Then again, launch games don't showcase the console's max power so w/e. Oh, and incorporate pointer (preferably no motion) controls. That' really important to me more than anything else in regards to shooters like these.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...

this is horrible logic, no matter how you look at it and if you played Mass Effect for only 15 hours you're doing it wrong
it is not a horrible logic at all. It actually is very proper to communicate how good a game is. (ofc keeping in mind that this genre of games is of interest to you) Otherwise ratings wouldn't be there, AND metacritic is by far the better system to grade games because it uses scores from multiple sources, from critics AND also gamers. there is some bias some times but this system is rarely wrong or manipulated. if we were talking about a single review or even 3-4 then yeah it surely would be wrong.
i.e. no matter how "bad" certain frenzied fans say that DA2 is.. it's all a pile of BS.. because the game simply is awesome. If it is not what they expected it is another thing, but games are what they are, and you should "judge" them based on that, and not based on "what you expected". the same was said about ME2 by the same people, both of them are 2 of the best RPGs of all time.
Now regarding my playtime in ME, with all respect that really pissed me off for some reason. how about i played it for 15 hours every time i played it? dear friend, without knowing you i seriously doubt that you play RPGs harder or "righter" than me sorry for saying so.. but i play RPGs to the max in any shape form and flavour for 20 years now so yeah.,. spare me...
komicturtle92 you are right, ofc the game should be adapted to the strengths and features of the new console. otherwise it wouldn't worth it. you are very much correct. it's about getting an awesome shooter done better using the good thing that the next console will offer and not about graphics wh0r3$. excuse my language
