@1UP_MARIO Yes, Twilight Princess HD and The Wind Waker HD are two huge reasons to own a Wii U.

I keep thinking they will head to the Switch eventually though. I'm also not keen to spend the $40+ they go for.

I didn't know PS3 was still going strong online...hmm. Might play Black Ops 1 again soon.

@SuperLuigi111 that sounds expensive.

Just checked amazon and eBay. They are both around 10 pounds each. Seems cheaper in the uk

@SuperLuigi111 If they head to Switch they won't be cheaper, it's Nintendo what we are talking about so be ready for paying more for the ports.

The Wind Waker HD was free with Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, I got it that way. I got the Wolf Link Twilight Princess HD bundle with the best amiibo I've ever seen.

@iLukeUrAttitude Yeah virtual console has pretty much been the only thing that has made my Wii U worthwhile, the selection is pretty impressive. It's been pretty cool to even play GBA and DS games on fullscreen, or turn the TV off and curl up in bed with it on a screen that's still bigger than any of the DS XL's.

Also, I'm shook. Switch doesn't have internet browser or Netflix? Come on, Nintendo...

@1UP_MARIO It seems UK has a lot of things cheaper. Finding an long-lasting battery for the Gamepad is impossible here for under $100. (still willing to pay a UK member to buy one and have it shipped to me)

@BlueOcean True, but they will probably look nicer. I dunno.

Eel

They'd likely look the same just with better resolution.

The main change would be being able to play them on the go.

I dunno, judging by other Wii U ports there's usually some texture cleanup, even if mild.

@SuperLuigi111 I haven't seen that on any, normally is just a very small resolution boost. Even anti-aliasing is the same (none).

I saw it on Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze

@SuperLuigi111 nah Donkey Kong TF is just a resolution upgrade. Looks identical tho even on a big tv. Great game and highly recommended. Big differences are ones on a disc and the others a cart with easy mode

I even think that the Wii U version is more valuable because you really need to be good when you play it.
On Switch, players have a way "to cheat" manner of speaking with the easy mode and from my perspective, the joy you get in tropical freeze is when something seems to be almost impossible and after several tries, you succeed.

Basically, the easy mode is a temptation for a lot of gamers when they can't defeat a level. I know that it's possible to not use it but I'm convinced a bunch of players have finished the game by using the easy mode.

I personally ended the game on Wii U and I even made a special choice to make it harder.
I have finished the game 100% without any tips from the net AND any special items at funky (ballons, parrot etc...)... I had to play more than 100 hours to make the 100% without any help... o_O

In my top 5 Wii U games and in my top 5 favorite platformers of all time.

@Cobalt yea it’s a great game but it was hard for my son, funky mode was for him. I have them both and tried funky mode it’s fun but the challenge is not there. Good mode for less skilful players or younger players

Totally agree that the easy mode is great for kids !

@1UP_MARIO Yep, that's what I thought.

@Cobalt I also tried not to get any help on Wii U, really good game.

Just feeling to share something: This summer I worked a lot in the restaurant business and there have been nights where IF I had not the Wii U and Nintendo I would not make it mind free the next day. Granted my family was there for me but me and my wife worked shifts like 17:00pm to 05:00am and this combined with taking care of our all day crying son kind of tired us out. So the Wii U helped me out of this stressful situation and I am thankful to it.
