Can the Mexican eShop card work with the US eShop? A $20 eShop card costs $70 where I live. The cheapest alternative is using Mexican eShop cards. Would they work, or would I need to create another account. Would the DDP work with the Mexican eShop?

If you have a credit card you will be able to buy points directly off the eshop though. AFAIK any international credit card will work on the NA eshop.

If anything I recommend buying a prepaid visa if it's an option as it's a good alternative to e shop cards

yeah it's a Brazilian problem(most of the banks aren't allowing transactions on the Eshop) :/
