Topic: The Last Tinker: City of Colors, would be a perfect fit for the Wii U

Has anybody played this yet on the PS4 or PC yet? It's not a perfect game by any means, but it has this very charming, almost late PS1 / early PS2 3d platformer-ish vibe........I know the developers said they were heavily influenced by the N64 and games like Banjo Kazooie, but it's not really a collections based platformer).

For a indie game the graphics are beautiful (although it has some minor frame rate issues despite not pushing the PS4 hardware wise). But it's really the atmosphere and vibe that make this game enjoyable and harken back to the early 6th gen. Trust me, you'll laugh when that little floating ram of a sidekick gets punched in the beginning (despite being likable, it's just so absurd).

I think this would be a great fit for the Wii U, it's a quality platformer that would probably appeal to the Wii U demographic, becoming a bit of a sleeper hit.

Considering Nintendo consoles seem to be the home for indie platformers and this game's family friendly vibe, it's surprising that this isn't already on the Wii U. I'd imagine if enough people are interested, it wouldn't be too hard to convince the developer that a Wii U port would be worth the effort.

The Wii U is lacking in games overall, and Tinker is above your average indie in presentation and ambition.

I think the game would appeal to the Nintendo audience, that's just me thought though.

What about the game makes you think it would appeal to the Nintendo audience?

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Not in indies and upcoming indies. There are tons. And very high quality ones, more than this at least according to reviews.

Because it's kiddie, has a bit of charm, and it's a platformer. Comical violence and no blood either.

The Wii U has a lack of games in general, anything of some quality will be a plus.

@sub12 So you're saying shovel knight and guacamelee is not quality?

The console has a lack of games in general, and although it has a few gems in the eShop for sure, a lot of it is crap as well.....I'm guessing you've seen some of the articles on this site about the sometimes suspect quality of the Wii U eShop?

The eshop is amazing. There's no lack of games whatsoever.
