I am a Wii U gamer who is really happy with the Wii U and its games. However, in the future (maybe late next year) I plan to get a Switch. At that time, I would like to sell my Wii U. It has two digital games on it.
Would it be possible to sell the console with the digital games by transferring digital games from my NNID to the buyer's NNID? Has anyone ever tried doing so or was involved in the process (either as a seller or a buyer)? I thought initially this was not possible, but one redditor on the Wii U reddit posted that,
"If you want to sell the Wii U with digital games, you should have the person buying and you sit down and contact Nintendo and transfer the purchases from your NNID to the buyers NNID. Then format the memory of the Wii U and it is now sellable. That way you still have your NNID but they get thier games. And when Nintendo Customer Serivce says they can't do that, ask for a supervisor or someone because it definitely can be done."
So I was curious if this were possible and if anyone was ever involved in this process. Thanks!
Although I'm not familiar with this specific scenario, I know of people on Miiverse who have successfully asked Nintendo for similar account modifications, like merging a 3DS account with a Wii U account or moving a user from one Wii U to another. So I'm inclined to say it's possible.

Oh OK. Is it possible to search Miiverse posts by people who posted on this topic (sorry if I sound strange, even though I have a Wii U I haven't really used Miiverse much).
There's not really any way to search Miiverse like that. They didn't really talk about the process anyway. I'm afraid I don't know much, just that it's possible to ask Nintendo for that sort of thing.
