I have the limited edition physical version of New Super Luigi U while most players have the DLC version, but if one owns both, can they play on the same save file of New Super Luigi U no matter if they have the New Super Luigi U disk in their system or if they are accessing through New Super Mario Bros U?
After some digging on the internet, the answer is yes. You can use the same data for both physical and digital because the data is saved in the same place
