Woah, woah, woah 'the Japanese' that's a bit of a broad generalization there, buddy. Comparing the faces in Xenoblade Chronicles, to Xenoblade X, to Zelda U, to Tales games, to Final Fantasy 15 is a huge variety of styles. Not every Japanese game follows the common '3D anime' style that you're referencing. Zelda U and especially Final Fantasy 15 (certainly a JRPG) are notable exceptions (http://www.ps4site.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/gladiolus-amicitia.jpg). Now what does that look like? Oh yeah; Geralt (http://operationrainfall.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/E3-2014-Xbox-Media-Conference-2014-06-09-10-38-53.jpg).

Just because Japanese people made a face doesn't mean it always looks dead inside.

Lololol you just reacted to a ridiculous claim about animating faces as if he'd claimed the japanese were all idiots or something.

7th grade reading level.

No, I said he made a broad generalization about Japanese 3d modeled characters and responded with, 'Not every Japanese game follows the common '3D anime' style that you're referencing.' I didn't call him racist, I didn't say he had a negative stigma towards Japanese people, I only called him/her out for generalizing. Don't put words into my mouth!

I tried to post one last night. It kinda broke the site. :T

speaking of breaking the site. Was it yesterday? I kept getting a "bad gateway" error.

Xenoblade isn't a bad game, and I don't think XCX will be bad either, but they're so long... It's becomes quite boring after a while. Perhaps it's just the style of gameplay that doesn't really interest me. I'll still get the game, because the original was good, but it's nowhere near a Zelda game for me.

If not Splatoon, then I gueeeeesssss I'd have to say Zelda. Xenoblade looks like a lot of fun, but holy crap does it look intimidating too! I'll be getting both, but I'm sure Zelda will be the more polished experience.

With a game that massive there are bound to be glitches and unforeseen issues with XCX. Especially if it's nearly maxed out disk space.

Also, I'm not a big fan of that style of combat. BUT the mechs look awesome... so I'm getting it. lol.

Final Fantasy 15, sorry

Well, that would be the most time in development shaved off, if you could magically complete it tomorrow. If that game's 60% done then it'll be out in, like, May 2016 at the earliest.
Unless the dev tools, writing, assets, engine tweaks, etc are all done and all they have to do is create levels, abilities, enemies, and cutscenes. In that scenario development could proceed quite fast. Don't get your hopes up.

I-U

I've been in and out of the Zelda series, so I've got plenty of concerns regarding how Zelda U will turn out delivering Link out into an open world. Monolift Soft has already made its case for Xenoblade Chronicles X with the incredible Xenoblade Chronicles. I'm not going to sit here and automatically claim that XCX will be the better game, between it and the original, but I really have no concerns for that game. Barring a new Metroid, I expect Xenoblade Chronicles X to have no competition when I sit down to rank my favorite Wii U games. I just think it'll be that outstanding.

Xenoblade Chronicles X may have the bigger world with more playtime and a deeper story, but I'd still take Zelda U. The action and puzzles appeals to me more than RPG combat.

Xenoblade. I know Zelda is going to be great so while I totally know I'll be playing it day one it is sorta like wondering if the sun is going to rise...it is. So I'm anticipating Xenoblade more even though I'll likely cry at the end of Zelda...again.

I just finished Xenoblade Chronicles and as it rolled its flaccid body off of my unfulfilled form I thought only of how I so longed for Zelda U to have a great story. That game really needs to go back to Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, the Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess' way of having poignant stories, cutscenes overflowing with character, and fully developed characters. I want to see stuff like Midna's normally snarky self having to go through harrowing trials, Medli's melancholy upon having to leave, or walking into Lon Lon ranch at night to see Malon singing at night (and the foreshadowing that leads to Ingo taking over the ranch and the quest to get Epona). And side quests like that of Majora's Mask; stuff like the Gibdoified father scene, Lulu's whole story, and basically everything involving the song of healing.

There are no video games outside.

But seriously, that vein of rhetoric is really despicable playing on the stereotypes of games only being for children and 'gaming addiction' in general. Stop.
