It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

I would say have both. Because I remember writing names down for 360 and man, people have weird names and same are hard to spell, have all these unnecessary letters in weird places. Of course, it wasn't a problem that couldn't be easily overcome? Numbers are easier to input.

Nintendo can't do that. That's already been done. they'll have a "you actually get stuff for doing stuff" system

Current games: Everything on Switch

Switch Friend Code: SW-5075-7879-0008 | My Nintendo: LzWinky | Nintendo Network ID: LzWinky

I would hope we can use the points to purchase virtual items our Miis. I had a thread up that was ignored seemingly with the idea- but I'm cool

Friend codes never bothered me......... not having a single friend code did. I got almost no online play going with the Wii amongst my friends because nobody could be bothered entering heaps of friend codes. Half the time I only found out a friend had the same game I did after we were both over it.

The 3DS doesn't have that problem anymore so I really don't care. If it's still friend codes but it's unified who cares? You enter it once, forget about it and you can use it like you would any other system. It's silly but it wouldn't bother me at all if they kept friend codes in the 3DS way.

Why didn't Nintendo do this with the 3DS????
Also will it still be compatible with the Wii FC system? Because you would need that for full Wii backwards compatibility.

If the 3DS has not been discontinued SM3DL and MK7 are awesome games, but if the 3DS has been discontinued Sony has taken over the world. It is not true that both Sony has taken over the world and SM3DL and MK7 are not awesome games. Therefore:Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 are...

Well the DS / DSiware games still need their old friend codes to work whereas 3DS games just use the one system code so I would imagine it would probably be the same with the wii & the wii U. Wii games would probably need their old codes.

well the new friend code system on the 3DS is a gamer tag best thing bout it is you don't have to change your gamer tag if some one already has it e.g. S.T.K. is already in use please chose another name e.g. S.T.K.8649 S.T.K.34 and so on.
and you only have to enter your friends code once plus no random can just try to add you as a friend for no reason so removing friend code is a kinda shit idea since they changed it on the 3DS works great.... can't see why it was a problem any more?
