Yep nintendo even said it. im guessing the ghost recon footage came from the wii u since they had a demo on the show floor. I think we will see some of these titles and others tonight at the roundtable.

i did not have the opportunity to watch, so i am just wondering: when did nintendo say it? was it during the initial showing of the footage? did he really say: 'um...these are from xbox and sony...not our actual games'?
In any case, I thought it was good news, rather than bad. It means those trailers don't really give us an idea of how the games will eventually look. The developers out there who have been playing with the Wii U kits imply that games may actually receive graphical upgrades when ported over, and that lackluster preview video of 3rd party games showed no such thing, so I was always hoping it was just stock footage.

Yeah, I figured they did. Zelda HD blew all of those games away in terms of graphical gorgeousness anyway. (except... well, that Aliens one looked pretty damn impressive)

I just found it funny that people were saying that the graphics from that video sucked and were way below the 360/PS3.
Yeah... I think some people feel pretty stupid, especially putting two videos together and coming to the conclusion that WiiU's power is below 360/PS3, when the footage is from the latter systems. It shows people hate just to hate. Now, people are trying to find loopholes and find something to complain about this'

First of all, that's ironic and funny. Secondly, these videos aren't necessarily bound to one system. The publishers technically own the videos too and can use them elsewhere. I fail to see any problem with this

There's no problem with this. As graphical power increases, multiplatform games tend to look virtually the same on all systems anyway. They couldn't have pulled this off in the 16-bit days, that's for sure. But at least it assuages everyone's fear that the new Nintendo console isn't a graphical powerhouse.

Dude, just laugh. Because they got duped by Nintendo. It must feel good to get back at the haters lol
On other websites, I saw lots of the same comments, and when it was revealed that the footage shown is not from the WiiU console, then the whole story changed into "Nintendo misleading" when they didn't. I'm pretty sure it's been said that these games are expected to be on WiiU- not "Footage from the WiiU console". Reggie even came out and said it shortly after.
This isn't like what Sony did back in 2005/2006 where they said it was 'real time footage' of the PS3. We find out it's all pre-rendered. That's misleading.
After seeing tonight's Ubisoft/Nintendo roundtable discussion, it seems like almost none of the developers has fully tested what the console is capable of. It only makes sense that they would use footage from the other consoles as mere representations of the games that are coming to WiiU. I think that if anything, this new console reveal is about 1/2 a year early
