Topic: Mario vs Donkey Kong Tipping Stars. Easy stars.

As I'm sure a lot of people are aware, Miiverse is coming to an end, which will render a lot of the items in Tipping Stars inaccessible. So those users wanting to unlock everything while they have a chance to are going to need some quick method of getting ~10000 stars. The quickest way, is by playing through levels that are only a few seconds long. I have a few accounts with several such levels. If you follow (I hear friends content doesn't show properly) the miiverse accounts below, you will be able to access those levels quickly by filtering for "friends and follows" instead of "popular." It may take an hour or two for the list to update, so be a little patient please (you may also have to restart the entire Wii U).

https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/Lord_Freezer (after the appliance, not the cartoon character with the bastardised name) (20 Levels)
https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/UltimateBean (20 Levels)
https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/LordSnore (20 Levels)

If anyone else wants to share their accounts with easy levels, please do so.

Once you complete a level and get all three stars, you won't be able to get any more stars on those levels UNLESS you restart the Wii U completely. For some reason just exiting the game doesn't work so well and even then there may be one or two levels with ticks still on them, just ignore them. But once I have 20 levels on each account, you should be able to manage ~180 stars in each sitting. I've already completed the same levels several times over and got stars each time.

Simple enough, just time consuming. Do it while watching Netflix or something.

@shaneoh Thank you, I think I'm going to give it a shot in between MRKB sessions. I appreciate it!

I'm glad this is the only game that is really affected in terms of completion.

Can't they just give everyone a bunch of stars so you can unlock everything? Seems like an easy thing to do. Anyway, before today I forgot this game even existed, so I'll just continue forgetting about it so it won't affect me

Awesome, thanks! Not even started the game yet, but will do this week

@Octane It's kinda lame they continue to sell it while it's not complete anymore, I would say: Update the game so that everything is cheaper ingame.(and obtainable)

@benjamines
No worries, thanks for your levels. Following.

Or at least a tiny update that lets the player replay the levels for more stars.

Thank you shaneoh, I'll try and see how many stars I can get!

The loading and menus of this game are painfully slow.
I'm not enjoying this kind of grind at all.
But I feel like a chunk of its value is lost if I can't unlock all the level editor objects to have them available when I get back to this game some day. Time sure flies, and this is like forever on my backlog. But I don't want this game to be forever incomplete on my Wii U, because that already happened to TANK! TANK! TANK! when they took it off the eShop without a warning and now it really sucks to have just part of the DLC and not the whole game.

This game has been on my wishlist for a while - is it still worth purchasing? How exactly does the Miiverse function work and what's lost without it? Thanks.

@Monkey_Balls
The game has a Level Editor and a Community (level sharing menu) that you can sort by favourites, new, friends&followers and read Miiverse comments on each level, etc.

You can reach up to 3 Stars per stage, depending on performance/score.
These Stars are needed to unlock more objects, characters, level skins, and options for the level editor. It's really about 10.000 Stars that you need to grind (and the fastest way is supposedly about 50 hours of repetition, searching for supershort auto-win levels) to unlock everything in the level editor shop.

But you can/should also donate Stars to level makers if you want 100% before Miiverse shuts down. Good level makers can earn lots of Stars from the community. Just like in Super Mario Maker you get notifications on who donated on your stage(s). Problem is, the people that aren't that good at creating levels will never get close to 10.000 Stars just by normal play.
Donating Stars let you earn up to 72 Miiverse Stamps that are neatly sorted in an in-game menu. Even though Miiverse Stamps won't have any practical use after November 7th, at least you can still view them in the "Miiverse Stamps Collection" option.

So, to be on the safe side with Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, you have to collect 10.000 Stars for the Level Editor stuff, and then some more (at least 72?) to get all 72 Miiverse Stamps, otherwise it renders your game INCOMPLETE FOREVER coming November 7th.

I farmed 2 hours, but it's such a waste of time, I don't think I can handle this for 48 more hours. Especially with those long loading times.

Anyway, the game is still good, has a lengthy solo campaign with tons of stages, and looks very crisp on both the GamePad and TV (but you need the GamePad to play). I think nowadays you can find it for around 5 bucks.

You know whats the beeeeest part? This game is cross buy with 3DS!

So really, if you get all the things in one, it's still only 50%!

Though if anyone wants to get rid of a 3DS code, I'll gladly try to get the other 50% for you

@Monkey_Balls Yeah, go for it if you don't mind missing items. If you are just intetested in the campaign it's still a very good game. If you haven't played it yet I would recommend Minis march again as well(DSi game).

That's why I sit it in the charging cradle so it's upright and watch tv shows and movies on my PC while tapping the screen occasionally. Currently going through Season 2 of The Flash and am sitting at ~2500 stars (including a few I've spent on characters) and about 44 stamps unlocked. Still, you're saved part of the tedium, making 60 quick finish levels was mind numbing.

And so it begins. Played through the first 30 or so single player levels on the train, then bombed through a load of auto play levels from you guys this evening. Gonna work on building some quick levels and upload them tomorrow. Probably not gonna be much inventiveness in them, but that's probably not the most important thing here...

I wish everyone good luck. I'm out. I don't have time for wasting time.

Well I'm always free to do that, but I still need to finish most of the singleplayer missions, and it's still good for some fun with the niece and nephew.
