Just wondering, when in a Super Mario World level, can you use the spin jump? I liked those special levels in SMW where you had to basically drill down through the blocks to reach certain areas.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I beat it on my first try. It felt like a regular Mario stage, which I liked. I think I gave it a star. Still trying to figure out all the menus in this game.
I'm trying to figure out also how to make your stages have pipes you can go in. I don't know if that's something you have to unlock and I haven't yet...

Yes, you can. I played a stage called "The Great Escape" or something that was pretty good and you had to use the spin jump from the very start. The only thing I don't like is it is only the L and R buttons and you can't really change the button config (only choose from two existing ones in the game).
I will try it when I get home from work from your comments about what types of levels you want to make earlier I'm looking forward to seeing what you put together.

Yeah this was within a 30 minute lunch period so I haven't unlocked much except the Amiibo mushroom. Thanks! I'll be playing tonight. I added you to the follow list.

Thanks... it's just a basic level though that you'd probably see in a typical Mario game. It's the only stage I've made so far but hope you check it out.
Miyamoto declared that now is the time to "move in a new direction" for Super Mario.
“Doing this now at the 30th anniversary [of Super Mario Bros.] is really putting some more of that creativity into the players. But at the same time, we as the developers feel that it’s time for us to move in a new direction, and we’re preparing to work on the future of Super Mario from here on.”
This is the best news I've heard all day. Hopefully NSMB will no longer be a thing...
Am I wierd that I read this thread and the Splatoon thread everyday, but this is my first time posting. I have not had a chance to play Super Mario Maker yet, but I have an idea for a more puzzle-focused course called Koopa-Cave. I will post the code on this thread tonight. See you guys then!
I'm enjoying Mario Maker so much more than I thought I would. I am in no way creative, but I've managed to make a few levels that I'm proud of. The creator is so easy to use, and I managed to spend most of the day today making a level based on the idea of a Mario version of a Zelda dungeon (I've already put the link int he sharing thread, so I won't put it here as well.) I looked at the time halfway through designing the stage and three hours had passed without me even realising! I've got a few more ideas in mind that i can't wait to start making!
Now we'll see what happens as time progresses, but so far I'm impressed; people are actually playing my levels quite a bit! This is good news after the awful failure of online sharing system some other Nintendo game I know was... Still wish you had better filter options though.
What my guess is, is that the game automatically queues your level up in 100 Mario run if no one's played it yet; whatever it is though, it seems to be working atm.
So I ended up doing the change Wii U time unlock thing. I needed (i.e. was dying to get) subworlds, and it figures that's the last freakin' thing you unlock. Oh well, I have everything now! Got three stages up too. I wish you could give a recommended difficultly, because I feel bad for all those people playing my harder level randomly, when they weren't looking for something that hard.
@pherret022 ha ha, I frequent those two the most as well! I know you've been here for a bit, but still, welcome to Nintendolife!
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels

For everyone who has played the game so far, obviously, when the stylus touches the touchscreen, a hand appears on the TV screen holding a stylus. The thing is, I'm left-handed, and it's bothering me that it a right hand on the TV screen. Does anyone know if there is an option to change the TV hand to a left-hand? It's not a big deal, but it does kinda annoy me. Thanks for answering this question in advance!
@OneBagTravel:
Oh yea.. I noticed that to. I really wanted to say that but totally forgot about it. lol
Kind of irritating sometimes. Especially on Super Mario World. ^^
Btw.. guys. Don't confuse me with the other Blue_Blur here.
Had that Avatar a while ago as well. Looks so familiar. Creepy.. xD
@OneBagTravel: played your level, pretty fun, you almost got me with the first "mushroom"! Keep them coming!!
these Super Mario Bros. 1 graphics are out of this world btw
this is my level - a few people have tried it but nobody has finished it yet - they have all died at the same spot - but it's not really hard, see if you can beat it:
