Lol that was my initial impression to his voice. Then I saw him respond to a troll making fun of him in the comments and my respect for him overpowered the discomfort.
Troll: "That's perhaps the most annoying voice on youtube."
Andre: "Hey, for you it's optional. I have to live with it."
You can tell a lot about a person by seeing how they deal with criticism.
I prefer the new Bowser, because he actually looks like Bowser. The one in the original was miscolored. His skin was colored green, while in the instruction booklet for SMW, the game Super Mario Bros 3, and all the Mario's after, he has yellow skin
Super Mario World miscolored all of the bosses color pallets. I think Super Mario Bros 3 did a better job with the color patterns on characters.
@Rexcalibr: Not by much. Most of their colors are still off.
I'm still glad they had Bowser redone. He looks like himself now.
If we do actually get DLC, I would like to be able to drag items into bosses so they drop items when defeated. That would go a long way in solving the issue of not being able to make mandatory bods fights without some roundabout solution.
Is it possible that you can do it so that if you beat a certain enemy, a door will appear allowing you to make progress?
Also @Jason723: Because of nostalgia sake, does the green one also show up? I don't mind the new Bowser since he's always rad though. Just for nostalgia alone.....
Am I the only one who is not interested in this game? The Mario franchise is great and all, but I feel like it is something that I want to enjoy as it is. I want Nintendo to do the level designs because they are the experts on that. I just don't think that the Mario franchise was made to be put in the hands of the player.

Nintendo will be the best at designing Mario levels, but I'm still expecting lots of great levels from many players. I doubt mine will be that good, but it'll be lots of fun trying out various levels and making levels of my own.
Well GameXplain posted yet ANOTHER SMM video, showing off the object/enemy limitations. Seems like there are multiple categories for everything and they each have their own limit.

That was my initial reaction too. But having seen about 100 videos on it, I'm completely won over.
What I think's going to happen with this is that the general public will just create a very different type of level to those traditionally found in Mario games. Look at that video a few pages back where they spend 30 mins getting through 2 of the toughest levels.
Nintendo have never made anything like those. It's the kind of level design you couldn't get away with for a general audience, but is well received by a hardcore niche.
I just thought up something: how different do you think the Wii U's life cycle (both in terms of critical/ general acceptance + sales and release drip with games) would have been had Super Mario Maker been a launch title?

Wii U owner. Top 6 games for system: Splatoon, Mario 3D World, Captain Toad, Smash Bros, Bayonetta, and Pikmin 3.
Eagerly anticipating: Zelda U and the hopeful announcements of Animal Crossing U and Paper Mario U.

Yeah....I feel that too. I wonder if this game will put a halt on 2D Mario games since the 3D ones are far more unique than the 2D ones.

1 game would've made little difference. If they'd launched with Mario Maker, Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8, that might've worked. Without either a special gimmick OR third party support, I get the sense it was always destined to lose to the PS4.

Maybe a non Mario game or two alongside them, given how not everyone would have bought the system for Mario. But you're right, a line up like that would have helped a fair bit, and Nintendo's actual game release schedule just kind of doomed the system from the outset.
On another note, Mario Maker's new ghost house music is great. And the remade SMAS all stars versions are even better:
