I've only just finished my Gameboy/GBC backlog, that only took me about 20 years, so no. Knocked off about 7 games for the Megadrive so far this year, that's roughly 5% of the unfinished games in my MD library. There's about a dozen GBA games, 20 each of NES and SNES, 40 Wii games, 30 Wii U, 100 DS/3DS games combined and countless PC Games. I won't be wanting for games to play.
Yeah, I'm never gonna finish off my backlog (because that would be a living nightmare for me), but I'm in no rush due to the sheer girth of it. I'll spend some time lowering the intake so I can appreciate the literal wall of possibilities I've built up for myself.
I've decided the best thing for me to do to manage my backlog situation in the looming shadow of the Switch... is to start buying 360 games that are BC on my Xbox One (my first xbox). Bought Gears of War 1-3 and Halo: Reach last night Fortunately there aren't that many must have exclusive 360 titles, and even less of those are BC currently on the One, so there's only a few more on my watchlist for that section of my library.
The games on my Wii U backlog that I'm currently trying to finish are NSMBU (infuriating) and Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii - grindfest slog). Then I've got to start and finish MM on my 3DS so that I can move on to TPHD on the Wii U.
After that I probably have about 50 other Wii U games to play through.
Technically there are four retail Wii U games I haven't finished. Splatoon, Yoshi's Woolly World, The Wonderful 101 and Darksiders 2. The Wonderful 101 I got as my free game when Nintendo was giving out free games for some reason. Darksiders 2 I got as part of a humble bundle and I have it on PC anyways. Splatoon I never really bothered with the single player campaign because the multiplayer mode was more fun.
The only one I feel I should really finish is Yoshi's Woolly World. Which is a game I kinda ignored because I got it between Splatoon and Mario Maker. So I probably should finish it before I get the Switch.

I have an embarrassing backlog of great games on Wii U (I get to play maybe 5 hours a week).
Xenoblade Chronicles X (want to finish Xenoblade Chronicles first)
Wonderful 101
Bayonetta 1 and 2
Darksiders 2
Child of Light
Splinter Cell
Pikmin 3
Mass Effect 3
Monster Hunter 3 U
Rayman Legends
Jotun
Shovel Knight
Metroid Prime Trilogy
I'm in no hurry to get the Switch. I love a lot of the games that have been announced, but I clearly don't need any more video games right now.
Recently finished: Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Splatoon 3: Side Order, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
Currently playing: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
What's next: ?
Not really. I have my backlog with Wii U, 3DS and DS games (never completed Pokemon Conquest). There's no way I'll finish before March and Zelda, which is going to push everything back.
i still need to buy:
Paper Mario: Color Splash
Pokken Tournament
Pikmin 3
and finish:
Xenoblade X
Xenoblade

other than that, the other games are for playing when i've got nothing else to do. or, when my family comes over, with that being said: i plan getting the switch after launch, and than getting the wii u games that i cared about later

My WiiU backlog is huge but I am consciously working it down. Trying not to play anything other than Wiiu currently. Working on Yoshi and color splash now.

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
I haven't finished a single Nintendo game since N64 days. My backlog is ENORMOUS.
The ONLY game I want to play is Switch Zelda (and Mario), but I haven't even finished a single Zelda game. I'm halfway through Twilight Princess HD and have about 5 others to get through.
I could probably wait 3 years to get a Switch and not miss a beat.
If I can get my 15% off coupon to work on it, I'll get it, otherwise I'll wait. I will however, start buying Switch games with the 20% Prime deal on Amazon. $48 for first-party Nintendo titles is a good deal that will hold their value until I buy.
This is just like asking if I'll ever finish my backlog in general. Probably not. Then again my Wii U backlog isn't too bad, tackling it actually seems quite plausible. My PS3 and 360 backlogs on the other hand are just plain disgusting.
I still need to buy Color Splash, Splatoon, Pokken Tournament and Captain Toad as far as Wii U games go. Those are the only ones I really care about. Getting Zelda on day one.
I have no initial intentions of getting a Switch for another year or two regardless of what happens to my backlog.
I'll be without a TV for a year quite soon. So I'm gonna be using that to finish up all gamepad and 3DS stuff.
Oh and maybe some PS4 stuff through playing on the Vita. Which I've hardly done so far.
