So I've noticed that lately, I've been more into pre-ordering games and less into waiting until the price goes down to buy them. As you are all aware (or should be) there are 3 big name games coming out soon. Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 and SM4SH.
I'm pre-ordering all three and so including already purchased games and digital stuff, this year I've spent around £292.36. Not to mention, I also bought a pro-controller which was £36.
I'm interested in hearing about everybody elses spending habits when it comes to games.
Well probably less than $100, but thankfully I receive $100's of dollars worth of games from review codes that I receive from developers each year which is awesome!
Idk, usually I wait till a couple days before release to pre order them. I've defenitly spend more then I used to on games, and with prizes around 50€ I easliy pay in the hunderds. With indeed the bayo 2, HW, Sonic Boom and SSB. I' sure to spend another 170, should I get lucky and get SSB for Christmas otherwise it's sure to be 200€
Everything can change, but I'm never changing who I am
I don't like to pre-order stuff but I think I'll make an exception for the Hyrule Warriors limited thingy - again, I don't find limited editions too attractive unless they offer something I can actually use in real life (no figurines please!!). Then I'm going to get Bayo2 and SSB because I must and I plan on buying some "oldies" I have missed like Rayman Legends, Arkham Origins or Splinter Cell - you can buy these for peanuts nowdays. Indies too, but it depends on what gets released obviously, and I feel dirty saying this, but I usually wait for weekly sales when it comes to indies unless I'm really really sure they're worth my time and money (Shovel Knight!?). In £££ I'll probably end up spending around 200/250 quid. I'm also trying to get some Wii games I have missed, but I have pledged not to spend more than a fiver a piece, at least not this year.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

The thing is, I like to buy my games new so I end up spending a LOT of money that I don't need. I've also made that mistake when it comes to VC games, I bought two for £5.49 that I absolutely hated! Never doing that again...
It's gonna be a pretty awesome holiday season with Halo collection, Smash, Dragon Age, Hyrule Warriors, Wow expansion ... I"ll get lucky if I can keep the spending under about 400 or 500 bucks.
Tales of Xilla 2
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Danganronpa 2
Tales of Hearts R
Hyrule Warriors
Super Smash Bros for Wii U
Bayonetta
Super Smash Bros for 3DS
Fantasy Life
Phoenix Wright Trilogy
Persona Q
Looks like about $560ish.
Everything except the 2 PS3 games are digital, so I can't pre-order. For current gen, I'm only preordering things that come with a nice limited edition bonus at a good price point. I would buy the Persona Q one if it wasn't a rip-off.

Hyrule Warriors limited edition for the UK is just the scarf, which isn't worth it imo. Good list of games btw, I've heard great things about Tales of Xillia.

Hyrule Warriors (super excited for it especially after the direct)
Bayonetta 2 (I never played the original game but I really want to support this game)
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (It comes out before my bday so I am super excited)
Pokemon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire (Loved gen 3 but I'll only get one, for now)
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Really looking forward to this game & the online play)
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (Whenever it dances it's way to the EShop, I will buy it)
Thinking about getting:
Azure Striker Gunvolt (I want to wait for some gameplay videos and some reviews before I am settled on getting this one but it does look fun)
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix (I loved KH2 so I want to own it with all the Final Mix goodies as well as the Birth By Sleep Final Mix stuff but I'll have to see how much money I'd have at that point)
So that is about $300 to $400. My wallet will be empty by the end of this year but every cent will have been worth it.

Is SuperPokefan95 also your NNID? I'd love for us to Brawl sometime.
Also nice list there, you won't regret buying Bayonetta 2 believe me.
