Topic: Do 3DS eShop cards work on Wii U eShop?

I was going to buy a 25€ eShop card for my shiny new console yesterday, but as you may know these cards say 3DS eshop - DSi shop - Wii Shop

I think I've read in some Gamefaqs board that these cards don't work on the Wii U eShop, is this true?

Do you know something for sure?

Anyone know this?

When I connected to the eShop just minutes ago I was told to use eShop cards to add funds.

The system said anything about using dedicated Wii U cards, just eShop cards, so I may think the ones currently in the stores should work fine.

Later I'm going to purchase a 15€ one and give it a try.

Yes, which is great as it helped my daughter had an unused £15 card from her birthday to use towards Nintendo Land.

Just don't add credit card funds just yet - like I did.
I added Au$50 to the WiiU eShop, summizing that advertising 3DS games equated to "look here, download there" and that I could spend those funds where I liked so long as I was in the eShop section for the particular console.
But no, not sections of the same shop but different shops requiring separate fund additions.
How can this be possible when my NNID and Club Nintendo accounts are linked and the 3DS is linked to Club Nintendo?
Have I jumped the gun in terms of my expectations and this is why we are waiting for NNIDs for the 3DS?

I like the fact you're given a choice to add credit card funds or just pay the balance with the card. No need to keep credit on the machine is appreciated.
