Only DLC I would want if any is that Nintendo would add back more missing veterans (Roy, Snake, Wolf, Lucas, and PERHAPS even the Ice Climbers); and/or more retro stages (Hyrule Castle 64, Fountain of Dreams, and the Melee version of Peach's Castle).
Uh, giving Sakurai's recent comments on the topic I don't think we're getting DLC for a while...it could happen one day, just not for a while. Can we just enjoy Smash Bros. as it is now?
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...
Take 3 years and make enough content for a full retail Smash game. Release it as DLC for $50 or a Retail Disc for $60. The benefit of DLC would be you now have twice the ammount of content in 1 game. The benefit of disc would be for "physical for life" people
For me personally I think they should make it cheap and not disc locked content or way to expensive but that's my take
The initial release of the Wii U version doesn't even has all the features it's planned to have (such as Miiverse stage, tournaments, tourneys and stage sharing) and you think there might be disc locked content?
I actually hope we don't get any dlc for the game (besides mewtwo obviously since thats already happening). I like that smash is sort of this big event that only happens once a generation, and I like seeing people spend those years in between speculating who will be in smash and what they would play like. I think if they added characters and stages throughout the game's life cycle it takes away some of the excitement for the next one. That's just me though.

They shouldn't do it at all. I already expected that Mewtwo would be the only DLC, but even that was a bad idea. Now we have all these people begging for character X, Y, Z, and fifteen other terrible suggestions as DLC.
Sakurai should make it a definite rule to never include DLC in Smash and tell people straight away when the roster is decided. That'd keep the "[INSERT CHARACTER NAME] FOR SMASH" posts to a minimum, and maybe he could finally get a bit more active with discussing some games he only plays to have fun.
Didn't they already confirm that there wasn't going to be any?
Well they said they had no plans which isn't the same as there wont be but by the sounds of the latest comments they are considering it and using Mewtwo to see what exactly the kinks in the process would be.

If the reason for not doing DLC is to stop people complaining that a character isn't apart of the DLC then shouldn't it also apply to the game itself where people complain, beg and demand characters constantly?
