Tempting. I need a second Wii U to give to my family for Christmas, and was thinking about the refurb $200 Deluxe with Nintendo Land... this isn't an easy choice to make, they are technically the same value-wise...

Right. Personally, I'd buy new just because I always prefer new. Plus that refurb also has shipping charged extra, not sure how much though.
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Gamestop has a refurb 32GB with NSMBU, ME3, and ZombieU for $280.
I don't know what to get. New... or refurb with three games. Then again, it's Gamestop.
Well, ME3 is like $11 on Amazon and ZombiU is less than $20. So you could effectively buy new and buy those two games for about $10 extra. That sounds like the way to go if you ask me.

Seriously, guys, don't be disturbed by the refurb. status. Nintendo has been selling Wii Us for $200 on their website for a while now. Everything works perfectly. It might as well have been new.

To do standard shipping it was only $5. With shipping and handling and all taxes, I paid $220 total for the Nintendo refurb. I would trust an official Nintendo refurb over a Gamestop one for sure.
Very interesting and tempting for a fan of the 2d mario platformers. Can't help think that there will eventually be a price point drop to $199 for the deluxe not too far off, but with these games included sounds good.
Seems like Best Buy is trying to sell off their Nintendo stock, for 3DS anyway. Maybe to make room for the incoming Wii U shovelware?
Regardless, I enjoy these sales they're holding, got Kirby and my bro got Mario Party for essentially $20 each.
I'd grab a system too, but I'm really waiting to see if a Smash one comes..

Calling it now. The Wii U will never drop to $199 until its end of life. A price drop to $250 won't happen until next year.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

If you are waiting for a $199 price point on a non-refurbished system, it will be a long time, if ever. I think you're better off just getting and enjoying one now as there are plenty of cheap options right now.

Ok. You convinced me. I just brought it home for 259.99 and also grabbed super mario 3d world They did not have mario kart or any pro controllers in stock, so will grab those later. Now I have games and hardware to play them for every major NIntendo release (excluding N64). Hopefully the wife won't be too upset.

Welcome to the club!
I think you'll like it. Not sure what kind of games you prefer, but if platformers are your thing, may I recommend DKC Tropical Freeze. Personally, it's the best platformer I've ever played in my life.
Other 1st party games coming highly recommended are Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Zelda Windwaker HD, Pushmo World (eShop), Wii Sports Club Golf, and of course, Mario Kart 8.
3rd party games coming highly recommended are Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Shovel Knight (eShop), Armillo (eShop), Sonic Racing Transformed, Splinter Cell Blacklist (single player campaign is phenomenal, and there's online co-op and online multiplayer), Rayman Legends, Darksiders 2 and Deus Ex Human Revolution.

Thanks for the tips. I'm sure I will enjoy! I will probably venture out to pickup MK8 tomorrow, and go on the hunt for the elusive black pro controller. Splinter Cell Blacklist is on the wish list, and a pre-order for SSB. May try the Resident Evil as well. DK has always been a favorite of mine. I just wish I was caught up on all the games I want so i would only have to make 3-4 purchases a year to keep up with new releases. That's within sight.
I'm sure you know about the free game you get with Mario Kart 8, but you also get a 5 dollar eShop credit for downloading the free game. So finding a copy is definitely worth it, plus it's an awesome game on its own
Glad I picked up the system. Thanks to JaxonH or I would have missed the sale. Got Pikmin3 for the free download promotion when I grabbed MK8. Also picked up DKC, SM3DW, and have pre-order for Smash Bros. We are a Nintendo family so it fits right in:
