Yeah they were the best wrestling games produced. I am sure that it would be no problem getting them especially since WWE owns all of WCW intellecutal property so they would only have to talk to WWE rather than both WWE and WCW like they did when they first came out on N64.

Personally I would like to see Body Harvest, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire come out on VC

Personally I'd just like to see Mario Party 1-3. 3 especially.

Oh, and the Rush games, but I don't know what the chances of that happening is.

I'd also say Conker, but obviously we have the Rare/MS issue. Granted Rare did say it was up to Nintendo to release these games, but I'm not sure if that is actually the case.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

They couldn't do it. SImple reasons being that WWE doesn't own the trademarks on all of the wrestlers names or images, Chris Benoit would have to be removed (they try to remove him from history after the incident), Owen Hart would have to be removed thanks to the lawsuit that Martha Hart settled out of court with them and is now in the middle of filing another one to remove allo mention of Owen and then there's the fact that some of the people in the games work for TNA, which means that they would have to ok WWE to allow them to profit by using their employees (Which isn't going to happen).

But I agree, they are the best wrestling games ever released in America. The Smackdown series (and now Smackdown vs. Raw) has always been a dumbed down shadow of the N64 games.

I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.

I dont know about the TNA thing, I think that the stuff the wrestler did prior to TNA is still WWEs property as long as its within WCW or ECW. WWE released a DVD a few months ago called The Rise and Fall of WCW. Sting was in it so was Ric Flair and Eric Bishoff even Hulk Hogan. I even see from time to time on WWE programing clips of Kurt Angle back when he was with WWE. Basically if it contains the wrestler like Sting for example in a WCW game than I think WWE is clear of TNA. They cant however put Sting in the new Smackdown vs Raw as a legend character for exmaple, now that he is with TNA.

Now Chris Benoit thats a different story and I am sure that if they did release it they would remove his character due the circumstances that involved him. As for Owen I am not sure on that since Bret Hart came back they seem to be talking more and showing more Owen clips than before so Owen might not be that big of a problem.

@Tasuki There's a difference between matches you were in and your likeness. Basically, the work for hire WWE contract states that you are allowing them the right to tape your matches in a WWE ring (or WCW at the time also) to use in anyway they see fit for whatever the amount you worked out with them. However, unless you are using a name and character they have given you (gimmick for those unaware), you control the rights to any other form of media or merchandise (unless you have signed the rights to them, but that is usually just as long as your contract). So they could have Mankind in the game, but not Catus Jack or Mick Foley unless he signs an agreement with them that would also have to be ok'd by TNA for using one of their trademarks.

It's one of the reasons they can show Sting on WWE 24/7 and DVD's, but not offer a WCW branded Sting action figure.

When I started wrestling, Bill Eadie (Ax of Demolition) gave me some sound advice about trademarks and copyrights on my gimmick, such as trademark everything from my real name to my tights and boot color combinations. It gives you leverage when signing contracts and usually guarantees a bigger % of profits.

But like I said, there's so many legal hoops to jump through, it wouldn't be worth it to THQ, WWE or anyone else (other than Nintendo) to release them.

Ah ok I am not to sure about all the legal hoops lol I often wondered on stuff like that. Now the thing I wonder (sorry for going off the subject lol) Take like Mick Foley/Cactus Jack or the Rock or even Stone Cold Steve Austin, the own the rights to those names not the company their are with so in truth they could just ask them and not even bother with TNA or WWE or whatever company they are working for.

Also not to get personal here but that is soooo cool that you were a pro wrestler my son had been wanting to do that since he was 2 years old and is still determine to become one to this day. He will be 10 here in a few months.

Probably. Then it'll be Goldeneye, and then Perfect Dark.

Ya, it's more of a pipe dream then any thing else wanting the WWF/WCW N64 games on VC but hey a guy can dream.

I'm hoping for the Pokemon Stadium games. They're fun even without the Transfer Pack capabilities.

I really want Pilotwings 64, as it was my first N64 game I owned (after receiving the usual Mario 64 with the console on Christmas). While I wish that DK64 was coming, because I loved it as a kid...it's not. I mean if it did, it would be PERFECT to release the week that Donkey Kong Country Returns is released.

Yeh, I would prefer 2 over 1, Cause Mini-Games are better and Gym Leader Tower proves more of a challenge.

Something from Star Wars. I mean, if the three games from SNES have made it to the VC, one of the N64 games should do it, right???

Nothing says showing their true appreciation for the slow down in speed and kind of quality of the VC releases like making the next game Superman 64.
