@Z.Bone & SuperMarioRacoon - You can transfer your VC and WiiWare games. But you have to send your broken Wii to Nintendo. My Wii broke and I sent it. They transfered all my VC and WiiWare games and all my save files to a new console.
I have nearly 60 games (VC and WiiWare combined) so I was very keen on not losing them.
This is my collection, thanks to the Status Platinum:
NES: All (77/77) SNES: All (56/56) Nintendo64 All (20/20)
All in my 2GB SD.
Wow, that rocks! Which, if any, of the NES releases do you think are sleeper gems or generally under appreciated? I was just a couple years too young to pick up on the likes of Ice Climber or Pinball (like so many, I started with SMB and never looked "back"). This afternoon I downloaded the NES Golf game in VC and I like it more than I was expecting! Primitive but not without some strategy. But most of the "black box" NES VC games have pretty middling review scores.
NES: Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels Super Mario Bros. 2 Super Mario Bros. 3 Kirby's Adventure The Legend of Zelda Zelda II: Adventure of Link
SNES: Super Mario World Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
N64: Super Mario 64 Star Fox 64 Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
I still have my old Genesis, so that's why I don't have any Sega games. There's a lot more I want, tbh. I just won't let myself get anything else until I've beaten what I've got now.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
Super Mario Kart Mario Kart 64 Super Mario 64 Donkey Kong Country Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble Paper Mario Mario Party 2 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. 3 Kirby Super Star Super Smash Bros.

I miss the days of rushing to the computer on a Monday morning to see what Nintendo would bring to Virtual Console this week... sadly, it seems like those days are gone and they are not so heavy focused on VC. It's true that the VC has a ton of great games, but there's still room for so much more. As far as my VC list, it's not as large as it should be (but I own all of my original retro games except they are boxed up.)
Super Mario 64 Super Mario Brothers Super Mario Brothers 3 Super Mario World Super Mario RPG Harvest Moon SNES Zelda: Link to the Past Zelda: Ocarina of Time Donkey Kong Country
I have some leftover Nintendo Points and was considering getting Paper Mario.

Sega Genesis: Altered Beast Eternal Champions Ghouls 'N Ghosts Sonic the Hedgehog Splatterhouse 2 Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition
VCA: Commando Ghosts 'N Goblins Ninja Gaiden Rygar Shinobi Zaxxon
I have many, MANY more NES, SNES and N64 games in cartridge form. VC has been wonderful for filling out my collection. So far have only gotten VC/VCA games I don't own, but may one day start getting the likes of Zelda, other classics to see how they look on Wii with my component cables.
