CIB games can cost a fortune.
I haven't paid over $150 (Australian) for any of my CIB N64 games, I have about 160 of therm including the really rare ones and some of them go for over $1000 AU.

I have a copy of Ikaruga for GameCube still sealed, as well as a couple of others as I downloaded the digital versions at a later date due to having a ridiculously huge backlog.

@KingMike Just checked sealed copies of Wii Sports and sure enough average prices range from $40-$50. Used copies go for around $20. Kinda pricey for a game that was free.

I do remember that during the Wii era, even before Wii Sports was released individually (with the Nintendo Selects line), NoA was charging $15 for new discs (intended to replace lost/broken discs) on their online store but people on ebay were listing the game for $20-30+ sealed (I'm guessing people that bought new consoles and didn't want the game?).

@KingMike I can kinda understand charging for replacements. (after all, a lot of owners probably bought used Wiis that didn't come with the game) Even then, the game was released for only $20 sealed WITH a proper case in Nintendo Selects. These guys are charging over double that.

@ogo79 I'm pretty sure no one buys seal skins. (if you get what I'm saying)

Has anyone here ever bought Dokapon Kingdom for the Wii? It costs over 200 bucks sealed.

It is just supply vs demand. If demand is high enough and supply is low enough, then the price goes up.
It might not have value to everyone, but for a few people who give it value, and with only a few copies in the condition they want, then the price goes up. Just hope you have what they want and you can name your price.

@Snaplocket Sorry, I did but I bought it when it was new so I paid the actual retail price.

I missed the part about @ogo79 putting games under his sink. That sounds like one of the worst places to put games. I wouldn't want to risk the sink leaking all over them.
