Topic: Should I Sell or Hold Onto For A Little Longer ~ The Retro Game Sellers Discussion!

I guess I'll start off asking for advice regarding a game that's very much a collector's item. I have a copy of Suikoden II (PSX) that I bought for $10 at a yard-sale and I was wondering if now would be a good time to sell the game and what would be a competitive price to sell it for?

P.S. No advertising your ebay shops or anything like that in this thread, just give advice to potential sellers.

https://www.pricecharting.com/ is a very valuable resource for pricing games.

However Suikuden II doesn't seem to be listed.

Why do you want to sell though? Wouldn't you rather hold onto the title for your personal collection?

If you're anxious to sell it, now would be a good time. There's always a chance it could spike in price, but chances are that it's reached a plateau. The PS1 collecting market hasn't really become crazy (with some exceptions) at this point, but this game in particular has maintained a fairly steady price for quite some time. It's unlikely that it's going to jump with any significance.

Plus, the PS1 market (amongst other later consoles) is such that most/many games were produced in very large quantities due to the large install base, which will typically mean that even the more sought-after and/or "rare" games are only going to reach a certain plateau.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.
Urban Champion is GLORIOUS.

@Fiyaball
it seems to work when someone pays a high price for a game, which sets the new standard price for later copies of a game, heh.

@ogo79 That's only because people are stupid and others take advantage of the situation :/
