Gears 5 campaign is being shown off at Gamescom (August 19th), had a feeling it would be like that though not sure where the "more" comes in. All we know is the E3 2018 and E3 2019 teasers, right?
Also, I notice they seem to have quietly changed the name to "XBox Cloud" from "XCloud"....which is probably due to the fact that the latter sounds like a very, very, very different sort of service......
I'm not sure I like the design of that controller. The actual controller part looks fine, but the way it attaches, any vigorous gaming is going to see them split off and down goes the phone (or even if the other side holds the phone, down goes the character.) This is one area where Switch really has an advantage with steel bayonet mounts. I think a phone adaptor really needs to be a single piece rather than separate R/L.
@NEStalgia I looked everywhere but I can't find it, I even tried private session on the internet browser. I'm subscribed to Ultimate but we only get a chance for getting a Game with Gold (normally). I guess I'll have to contact customer support to know how this is done.
@BlueOcean Did you try the store on the console itself? There's a lot of times that I've had a problem on the website and on the phone app where there was no way I could find to buy something I had through GP or GwG, and had to do it on the console, but I've always been able to on the console.
@NEStalgia Nah, on console it's the same and also it detects the Game Pass/Ultimate subscription and that the game is already installed. I can't find a way to get it with Gold. LOL
Yikes those controller mockups look kinda bad imo. Though Im sure the final design will be much better. Hope we get some xCloud news at Gamescom next week!
@BruceCM It's for Xbox Cloud (streaming Xbox games service). The controller has rubber and hold the phone tight in the middle like some car hands-free kits.
Yes.
Xbox 360 is NOT compatible with ALL xbox games.
Only certain Xbox titles are compatible with Xbox 360 and mostly they are 18+ games that not suitable for casual gamers.
Yeah, I'm just wondering how well phones will do that, @BlueOcean .... Google has a bit of an advantage with doing its streaming on Android
I'm not going to get that until it's been running awhile & I have good, reliable internet & then only if convinced it worls well So, once this Xbox cloud has been out awhile & running well, I'll think about that again
@BruceCM I will be playing on console normally but if Ultimate includes Xbox Cloud or if Play Anywhere games include Xbox Cloud I will try it at no extra cost and it would be a nice bonus especially on a tablet like a Switch. Mostly, I will be playing on X and when I can afford it on Scarlett.
It's because it wouldn't work properly on mobile hardware, it was a cross feature according to their tweet. "We aren’t happy with how the pack performed across devices", they wrote.
