Trying to keep myself busy and entertained until today's Direct starts...

@ThanosReXXX haha I know man. I'm keeping myself busy by going on a field trip with my son. Ever been on a bus for an hour with 40/50 9 and 10 year olds all talking at once, it's glorious /s

BTW did you check out the CD3 mp demos?

@redd214 Yeah, I remember school field trips. And there are several schools on the way to my previous job, so when I used to take the bus and subway to get there, I frequently came across entire droves of kids, all chattering nice and loud, at the same damn time...

No, haven't tried the multiplayer demos. The time slots weren't really ideal for me, and I'm not really interested in it either, unless it's with friends and/or family. And I don't have GamePass, just Xbox Live Gold, or is GamePass not required?

@ThanosReXXX no the demos were open to all. But as far as playing with friends, for whatever bizarre reason you won't be able to play the mp with friends at launch. They say they will add it shortly but seems like such a strange oversight for a game like this.

@redd214 A shame indeed. I had tons of fun, playing the previous two games in co-op mode with a couple of friends.

@ThanosReXXX I need a second and third at the same time based on the inevitability they will fail successively. @Zuljaras needs a second and third in series until he finds one that is suitable for is anechoic chamber.

@NEStalgia You're forgetting the part where Xbox puts all their games on Switch. As long as it's not the other way around...

@Octane I am still wondering what the whole Xbox app availability on Switch and/or other platforms is going to be about...

I see some people going completely nuts over that, thinking that ACTUAL Xbox Live is going to come to Switch, which of course, is NEVER going to happen, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what it's actually supposed to be, then.

@ThanosReXXX No idea to be honest. Do they have a streaming service like PS Now as part of Xbox Live? Can't see them porting Xbox games to Switch just to make that happen. Maybe just the social apps?

What does it mean when we're hoping to get XBox information on a Nintendo Direct?

@ThanosReXXX Can't rule out "actual" XBox Live (or pieces of it) on other platforms, if those platforms let them. The platform is what MS really sells more than anything. The hardware is nice, but they're selling the ecosystem. Live consists of the social/comms/matchmaking/account type stuff etc. I can see with cross-play that being a reality at some point. The bigger question is which components can coexist with Nintendo without stepping on their toes so they'd allow it. Obviously not achievements and such which is part of the game. But matchmaking and communications, possibly? Where cross-platform exists. Use Nintendo to stab Sony....and Nintendo could use MS to gain "gamer" legitimacy. Nintendo + MS with Sony on the outside could seem appealing to the two.

@Octane Your guess is as good as mine. I'm honestly completely in limbo, concerning this subject.
Guess we'll find out whenever Microsoft is ready and willing to tell us more about it.

Do any of you guys know how long cloud saves are good for? As in if I dump my saves into the cloud and no longer have my console how long will they still be available for?
